We set off from Akureryi stopping at the beautiful Godafoss waterfall also known as 'The Waterfall of the Gods' and then onto the famous Lake Myvatn. In Lake Myvatn we visit popular destinations including the Myvatn Nature baths, a geothermal lagoon with mineral rich water in the middle of lava fields, Skútustaðagígar, the psuedocrater area, with stunning views of the Lake Myvatn area, the Dimmuborgir Lava formations also known as 'The Dark Castle', Game of thrones filming locations, the Mount Námafjall area where you can view the bubbling Hverir Mud pools and Natural steam vents/fumaroles and also the Grjotagja rift and cave. We also visit Dettifoss waterfall, Europes most powerful waterfall (conditions dependant). *Please note the entrance fee to the Nautre Baths is not included*

Daniel ensured that this trip was way above what I expected. He promptly replied to my messages when I booked in Australia. Nothing was too much for him.
The itinerary was fabulous. The 2 waterfalls were stunning as was the view over Lake Myvatn. Daniel provided home made rye bread as a snack which was very welcome and yummy. The stop at Jardhitabad was divine. We could have stayed longer bathing in this beautiful Lagoon but Daniel assured us it would be bad for our health. The walk through Myndun
Dimmuborga was breathtaking. Nature truly is beautiful.
Make sure you wear warm clothing and be prepared to walk.

What a perfect day I had on this tour. Guide Daniel was the best guide I could wish. Very pleasant - secure- carefull and just very nice.
We had an amazing trip and stay at all the places of the tour. I have learned a lot about everything. Thank you very much

Perfect weather to view the famous waterfalls and hot springs. Needed the large 4*4 as the roads were covered with snow/ice.

Great day - great guide. Some things I was a bit at a loss to see why we were there but maybe that was because of the amount of snow. The baths were fantastic and although you need to pay extra you totally should we left the waterfall til the end as too dark in the morning and I’m so glad we did. A fitting finale

Our guide Norbert was fantastic. The weather wasn’t the best so we couldn’t see some of the sites, but the “important” ones were all accessible. Despite the poor weather, Norbert did an excellent job safely driving us to all the sites, all while keeping us informed with facts throughout the day. I highly recommend this tour, and if you can….request Norbert to be your guide!
