Be impressed by the outstanding Gondwana Rainforests of Australia (UNESCO listed).
Hike through ancient forests and take memorable photos at a breathtaking lookout. Re-connect to nature as you swim at a spectacular waterfall (weather permitting). Be pleased with an organic vegan dinner, then as night falls, be amazed by the glow-worm magic as you listen to a live instrument play.
Head back to Byron rejuvenated after an adventure filled with conscious talks and inspirational ideas.
* The itinerary is subject to change without notice according to park closures, weather conditions, and moon position.
Eg: When the moon is too bright (at the time of the experience) it affects glow-worm visibility at the National Park. The tour is, therefore, run at a different location where the visibility is better. All itineraries visit a pristine waterfall, an epic lookout, and, a magical glowworm location.
* Driving time is around 1 hour and 15min each way with stops along the way in.

Alex was a great guide who informed my group about the rich ecological and spiritual history of the Hinterlands, he also showed us some cool swimming spots and waterfalls. Highly recommended!

The forest looks stunning during the day, and magical at night! It was unlike anything I've ever experienced. The glowworms and glowing mushrooms looked unreal. The waterfall was pretty too. Chris was an amazing guide! Thank you so much for sharing the knowledge about these glowworms and how the nature works. The work you do and the awareness you spread is so important in these times. We'll see you again when we visit Byron Bay next time :)

This excursion was an 11/10! We saw so many cool sights in the Rainforest at Nightcap National Park. We saw a waterfall, amazing trees, and glow worms at night. We learned about hippie and environmental activist culture. Our guide, Chris, was knowledgeable and prepared and provided a yummy dinner. Swimming in the waterfall was a highlight as was the sounds of the forest, the smells, and being a part of nature.

Cris was a wonderful host, he was so full of knowledge and expertise of the area. The stop at the waterfall was beautiful-and the location with the worms was truly awe-inspiring old growth forest. We stopped for a group meditation in the forest which was lovely.

I would make a couple suggestions for info to provide ahead of time for helping folks be more prepared: you'll need a swimsuit and towel if you'd like to swim at the waterfalls, you'll want long sleeves or pants for the ride back even if it's summer time, and you will be in a car swerving around back roads for over an hour, so take Dramamine with you. I would also wear sneakers, or Chaco-style sandals. The meal provided, while tastey, is just raw salad mostly, so don't expect to be full for long. We had to eat again when we got home at 10:15pm.

I don't normally get carsick but the drive there was brutal. Otherwise, it really was a unique and beautiful experience. Both with the physical beauty around you and the spiritual closeness to nature.

Thanks Cris!!

This experience is an absolute must! We were greeted by our guide Cris and he has an absolute gem. We went as a big group of friends which was basically a private tour for us. Cris was amazingly patient and very down to earth. His facts and history about the tour sites were incredibly interesting and kept us all very engaged. We explored some waterfalls and a bit of a hike. (Sunset view from behind the waterfall was our favourite) The views were breathtaking! Last bit of the tour was the best part, the glow worms- they were surreal! To top off the experience, Cris played the flute for us while we took in the environment and the glow worms in the dark. Thanks to him! We also saw a carpet python on the way home at the national park- which none of us has seen. The overall experience was something we'd never forget and cherish forever. This was such a relaxing trip as we had everything done for us and all we needed to do was experience and have fun :) Thanks heaps Cris!
