We did the 'Do not say that name' tour with Julio in December and loved it!! Julio tells the history of Medellin and its infamous enemy Pablo Escobar in such an interesting and vivid way, I honestly didn't even mind when we were stuck in traffic for a while! I would recommend the tour to anyone visiting the city of eternal Spring!

What a day!! Juan Carlos was an amazing tour guide! He gave us a wonderful history lesson on Pablo Escobar, Medellín and beautiful Colombia. He was very informative and his English was impeccable. Comuna 13 was heartbreaking, but inspirational and full of life, music and art! This community is amazing and everyone should really visit to to see how amazing and talented people here are.
Our driver Felipe navigated through the crazy traffic of Medellin with ease and grace. We felt safe always. We would definitely book again and recommend this to everyone we know. Medellín is safe, friendly, and an amazing experience. Thank you again Juan Carlos and Felipe!!!

We took this tour with Nico and our driver Daniel. Everything went as planned from pick up to drop off. Nico was a great guide, having lived in this area everyone knew him and he was able to give us insights to how the community has changed and developed over the years. Thanks Nico. Great tour.

I brought my teen sons on this as they have been following 'Narcos' on Netflix so had an interest in the Cartels. To be fair to the Guide (Hector), there isn't much to show that's linked to Escobar. The Monaco building (where the Cali Cartel tried to kill him with a car bomb) is now gone, the famous ranch is a 3-4 hour drive outside Medellin and the place where he was killed has been re-built. Communa 13 was interesting though and a credit to the local efforts to ensure the violent past is kept in the past

I had a great time with tour guide Hector Gaviria. He was very prompt picking us up from the hotel and took us to all of the locations on the tour. He was very knowledgeable of everything and a fun person to be around. His stories were amazing. It’s kind of sad the Colombian government is trying to erase all aspects of Escobar so I’m not sure how long this tour will last. They tore down the Monaco building about two weeks ago and all other locations have been changed into a school, nursing home, and another building. I was hoping the places would have been preserved but the government considers him a terrorist and doesn’t want him memorialized or remembered. That will no doubt hurt tourism in Medellín. He then took us to Comuna 13 and everyone knew him and treated him with the utmost respect! He was a local celebrity. He bought us empanadas that were amazing! He gave great direction of how to navigate the metro cable cars and train to downtown. He gave us his card and told us to contact him if we needed anything. I’ve been telling everyone about Hector!!

The Pablo Escobar and comuna 13 tour was great. With Leo as our guide it was awesome because he was very knowledgeable about all the history and trademarks of events. He made it fun and interactive where my 7yr old niece was able to participate and enjoy as well. Driving through historic sites, cemetery, la Virgen mystica, and going through the comuna where we met the artist of the amazing graffiti murals. I highly recommend this tour and specially with Leon.

Our tour was with Juilo who was not only very flexible and understanding when we had issues in the morning but was incredibly knowledgable about Escobar and the history of violence in the city. The message of change and transformation given with ththe tour was really heartfelt and inspiring. Communal 13 is a must see for anyone travelling to Medellin.

My partner and I were in Medellin with another couple and wanted to spend half a day exploring Communa 13 and the sites of Pablo Escobar.
We chose this tour as it was the only one we found that combined both activities in half a day and it was definitely the way to go.
Our guide Sergio was born and bread in Medellin and was a great source of information for us. Although our driver was about 40 minutes late, Sergio was punctual and was happy to answer questions while we waited for the driver. He was extremely apologetic and even stopped at a local street vendor and bought us a taste of local food to say sorry for tighe delay!
We started the tour by visiting Pablo’s Monaco house, then onto Pablo’s grave before making our way to Communa 13 which is a must do!
Sergio walked us through the streets explaining the meaning behind all graffiti and how far this neighbourhood has transformed.
Highly recommend his tour for people short of time that don’t want to spend 2 seperate blocks on each of these tours!
