What an excellent tour! Sebastian Maftei took us to all the beautiful landmarks in the city of Constanta and explained the history of the area with full passion and enthusiasm. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I HIGHLY recommend this tour and any other tour in Romania, especially with a tour guide like Sebastian.

My sister and I traveled to Romania to learn about the culture of the Balkan countries and we were surprised by how nice and friendly the people are, delicious food, despite being cold in January the landscapes were beautiful, we decided to visit Constanta since it is one of the oldest cities in the country and we wanted to appreciate the Black Sea with our own eyes, there are still ruins from the Romans as well as the Greeks, very beautiful ancient buildings, the view of the sea offered you peace and tranquility when walking along the boardwalk, we went to the pier to eat in a place full of restaurants with a spectacular view of the yachts, we returned delighted since our guide Mircea was very clear in his explanations of history and very updated in any information we needed, he was very attentive and pleasant, he is very knowledgeable He understands English and Spanish quite well......I highly recommend it!!!!

The night before our trip we received a message from our guide Bogdan confirming our pickup time and location. The following morning Bogdan was right there waiting for us along with a welcome bag of water and pretzels for our journey. Bogdan’s command of english was excellent. He was courteous, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the historical sites we were visiting in Constanta,Roumania. We highly recommend Bogdan and his tour of Constanta. We not only felt like we had a great personal guide but also a friend.

Constanta is a charming seaside town that oozes old world charm. It was a treat to be able to visit the Black Sea, despite waters being too chilly in Oct for a dip!

On the plus side, being off tourist season means we had a wonderful time meandering the old town, as there wasn't crowds to push through.

The natural history museum provides visitors with insights to how Constanta was in days of old. A visit to the Great Mosque and the cathedral of St Peter & Paul are highlights, showing how the historic motifs and art has been well preserved.

Shame the casino on the waterfront was still undergoing renovations, which is anticipated to take a few more years. We are sure it will be stunning once it's completed to its former glory.

A bonus on this tour was our very personable guide, Ionel Serban (thru Dreamlike Journeys). He provided the best of service and attention, with great insight into the local history and culture. He also has a wicked sense of humour and we thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with him. As part of the cultural exchange, we introduced Japanese dishes to him at the local restaurant Tokio Rikiya, which was recommended by our other tour guide, local resident Iuliana.

This tour was a highlight of our vacation. Our guide and driver, Sebastian, picked us up promptly at our hotel in Bucharest. He is a conscientious driver, and we enjoyed a relaxing ride to and from Constanta. Sebastian conveyed historical information in a manner that was engaging and interesting. He took us on a walking tour of Constanta that included all the sights. A highlight was the beautiful view and great photos from the top of the minaret. Sebastian allowed plenty of free time for us to explore on our own, and his restaurant recommendation for lunch was excellent. We highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a day trip to Constanta and the Black Sea. It was excellent in every way.

Superb experience chatting with Mircea on the 2 hour ride to and from the coast and learning about his country, culture, food, and life experiences before and after the fall of communism. He enlightened us where he has seen his country grow and develop in the past 30 years and was candid about some of its challenges. Bought us treats from local bakeries and Turkish food shops and helped us find a wonderful seafood meal on the pier. Adjusted the itinerary to our desires. Even got to light candles for loved ones and see a Ukrainian child baptized as well as a wedding ceremony and crowning in the Orthodox Cathedral! Mircea could not have been nicer. Strongly recommend this experience!

Constanta is a pretty and charming coastal town. Oct is off tourist season, so it was nice and quiet to have a wander through the old town.
The old casino is still undergoing restoration, which will take a couple more years.

The natural history museum tells stories of the local Constanta history, whilst the cathedral and mosque ooze of old world culture.

Our Guide Ionel Serban (thru Dreamlike Journeys) was very personable and provided the best of customer service! He had a wicked sense of humour and clearly loves what he does.

We enjoyed the whole experience!

Nice to have a private tour. Our guide, Octavian, was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He made suggestions for us, but was totally flexible in our itinerary. Constanta is not a very impressive city, but the view from the top of the minaret at the mosque was great. Lunch at a seafood restaurant overlooking the Black Sea was very nice. It is a long ride to get there, but we are glad we did it.
