Excellent tour, punctual and professional guide (Victor), drove very well on the dangerous curves of the climb. Worth it.

Wonderful afternoon and evening. The sunset was spectacular over the Andes and the experience of the drive with the hairpin bends to reach Valle Nevada was quite something.

While trip starts at 15.00 we were advised less than 24 hours before that we would be picked up at 14.15 - this was bit of an issue as we had arranged for 6 people to meet us at our hotel - in the end it worked out okay. Good trip and nice picnic with great views - enjoyed our two hour stop up at Valle Nevada, had walk in the snow and coffee in restaurant. Spectacular views. Some of group even saw condor close up. Good guide too - Sarah - who did her best but often hard to hear her in minibus due to loud air-conditioning unit at rear. Biggest complaint would be that the space between seats is very small - if you are a large person you will have discomfort unless you get one of a few seats which has more room. Back in Santiago for 22.00. Bring warm clothes and water with you. We didn’t need the warm clothes on our trip but come prepared. Picnic fine - mainly cheese and biscuits plus wine or soft drinks. A little expensive for what the trip is compared with other trips, but great views on way there too.

This was a beautiful experience for me this evening. I enjoyed the ride up to the mountains. The view of the mountains covered with snow was incredible. I even took a small journey near the top of the mountains. The sunset was breathtaking and I enjoyed the picnic.

I don't think it is unreasonable for a tourist to Chile to be able to speak a little bit of Spanish and both me and my partner do speak Spanish to a certain degree. However, we booked a tour in English for ease. The operator knows we speak English because he emailed us in English. However, when we got picked up, we were on a van full of tourists from Brazil and the whole tour was in Portuguese. We don't speak Portuguese. The guide really made no effort to try and communicate any information to us once we were on the van. Additionally, we couldn't even sit next to each other to talk along the way. It was miserable and boring.
On top of that, the driver was more concerned with trying to rap to whatever song was playing on his playlist than to focus on smooth driving. The result was one woman puked in the van because the driver didn't hear the person sitting next her yelling for the van to pull over because the he had the music up too loud.
Finally, the snacks. On the way up we stopped for a half hour at a gas station. We had whatever random stuff I think the driver and guide bought at the gas station. There was cheap wine and some juice and random junk food, but nothing else. I found that interesting given they bought enough ice and Corona to fill an ice chest.
They did buy one bottle of water, but to my chagrin I think they used that bottle to rinse wine glasses from the last tour rather than actually washing them before packing them for the trip.
I will say the sunset was pretty but I would avoid booking the excursion with this operator. I will be reaching out to Viator for compensation because the operator should have told us the tour would not be in English so we could cancel and get our refund instead of being packed into what felt like two guys with a passenger van trying to make a quick buck instead of a professional tour outfit.

We had a magical afternoon and evening with Alexis and Sebastian on this sunset tour. Highly recommended. The sunset picnic was a very special and memorable event. Many thanks.

We booked the tour guide in English and the put us in the Spanish group, apparently the tour operator messed up and did not notice their mistake until the guide showed up; late I hasten to add. I had to call them to discuss the mistake and all they could say was refund or a tour the next day despite me advising that I would be departing Santiago the next morning. I had to make an alternative last minute booking at triple the cost. Viator useless as usual thinking we had done the tour and saying what a great choice we had made….and offered no assistance when I explained the situation.
