1. Pompeii Archaeological Park
Pompeii is the first stage of the itinerary. You will visit the ruins, breathe the history, the art, the archaeology of the most acclaimed open-air museum in the world. From the Temple of Apollo to the Baths, the House of Faun, the Amphitheater ... Pompeii is to be discovered, an unforgettable experience just like its history. The excavations dominate the center of modern Pompeii, and right there, a short walk from the past, you can visit one of the oldest coral factories in the city, admiring the masterpieces of local artisans, made according to ancient Greek-Roman traditions.
2. Sorrento
Beautiful, worldly and full of colors, this is how to define the city to which the name of the entire coast of Sorrento. Adorned in every place by the flamboyant lemon trees, the main ingredient of the famous Limoncello, Sorrento looks like a carousel that revolves around Piazza Tasso, the pivotal point from which branch off the three main roads that will lead you to the treasures of the city. The valley of the mills, the fourteenth-century Cloister of San Francesco and the terrace of Sorrento are just some of the gems of what is the wonderful jewel of the coast.
3. Positano
Positano strikes deeply. It’s a dream place that doesn’t feel real to you until you’re there but you’re longing for the deep reality when you’ve left it. So said the American writer John Steinbeck recalling the first city of the Amalfi coast, and he was right. Positano is a real enchantment and whether your visit is scenic or much more meticulous crossing the gates of the city, You will have the same look ecstatic in admiring the colorful houses overlooking the sea and the many shops on the sides of the streets to show off the handmade clothes in cotton and linen in perfect Positano fashion.

We had an AMAZING day with Mario! He was honestly the best guide and driver, I can’t imagine our day being any better. Mario is extremely knowledgeable and so happy to share information about this region of Italy. We did book a guide at Pompeii and we were really happy we did. It’s hard to know what you are looking at without one. Note that the streets are narrow and windy, if you get motion sickness, do not forget meds! We spent a few weeks in the area and this one of our favorite days, thanks to Mario.

Our driver was Ahmed and he drove us to some amazing sites such as Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano (the Amalfi Coast). He drove us to some beautiful spots with the best viewpoints for amazing pictures and was always prompt in picking us up after our free time. We were given ample time at each location to see the sites, and had a wonderful day!

Francesco was just fantastic in every way! He was prompt, informative, and went the extra mile to make sure we had fun! The scenery was beautiful and he knew all the best restaurants, shops, and scenic views. He made sure we were comfortable and had a great time. We highly recommend Francesco and he drove very safe and found out he enjoys bowling! Very friendly, polite and was an excellent tour guide!

Our driver/tour guide was Mario and he was great. Entertaining, knowledgeable, and fun. Definitely recommend Mario. He picked us up at the dock and we went to Positano, Sorento and Pompeii. In Pompeii he had a great guide take us on a private 2-hour tour of Pompeii, then picked us up and back to our cruise ship.

I was quite disappointed with the company's and our guide's lack of professionalism. I wrote an email addressing this and received no response.

Our guide was passionate but barely spoke English and did not seem trained, which was contrary to what I had read in all the great reviews. We were more stressed trying to understand him, and he couldn't answer any of my questions because he didn't understand what I was saying. Had we known this would happen, we would have booked a cab ride, not a private tour that ended up being way below our expectations.

As a transportation method, I recommend it, but if I come back, I would rather spend more time at Positano or Amalfi enjoying food and drinks. Most restaurants with nice cliff views only allow seating for dining, and we didn't have enough time for that.

The chauffeur Giovanni was excellent. He even pointed out important buildings and scenic spots that our guide missed.

A great way to take in the magic from three important places in one day. Our driver, Francesco, was knowledgeable, fun and really knew how to escort the trip, give us our own time and space and expertly guide and rejoin us throughout the day. At one point, in spite of my smartphone malfunction, he did not give up on us and sought us out in a the somewhat chaotic exit area from Pompeii, Grazie Francesco!

Our travel schedule, sadly, didn't have enough time for a few days on the Amalfi Coast, so we opted to make this one day private trip from Rome to see at least some of what we were missing. The high-speed Frecciarossa got us to Naples in just over an hour, where Francecso was waiting for us.

He was great, giving us plenty of history and local information about Positano, Sorrento, and Pompeii. We were able to spend some time sightseeing in each of them. Fortunately, we were able to see it outside the heavy tourist season, and having Francesco ready to pick us up at each stop made it as stress-free as possible. It's also notable that we were in a very roomy, clean and comfortable vehicle that was sharing narrow lanes on well-traveled, winding roads. As someone who does a lot of driving, I was happy to have Francesco at the wheel.

If I had to give one suggestion, it would be to do your homework on Pompeii, perhaps even having a tour guide to help explore the ruins would be worthwhile. It's a much bigger task than we were prepared for.

Francesco was our driver and I would highly recommend him! He was friendly and warm and gave us great information when asked! I also appreciated just roaming around on our own and he gave us plenty of town in both Sorrento and Pompeii! Unfortunately, it was off season Positano, so we just drove through it and took great panoramic pics of the area!
