Drive with an airconditioned, comfortable coach from Munich and visit the famous and fabulous castles built by the fairytale King Ludwig II.

The first stop of our tour will take you to Schloss Linderhof, the smallest castle of the Bavarian king. It’s up to you to decide whether you choose to have a guided tour through the castle in english live, have a walk around the beautifully landscaped grounds or simply enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and get excited by the marvellous scenery.
We will then continue our tour to Hohenschwangau. Our stay there will offer you ample time to both try out the famous Bavarian cuisine in a restaurant and visit the castle of Neuschwanstein as well.
You can decide whether you want to see one or both castles from the inside with a guided tour and accordingly buy the tickets from our tour guide in cash.

Really good trip. Yes it will be quick in both spots but still well put together and we had a lovely tour guide who explained a lot on the bus about the history

This is a once in a lifetime experience. You see castles and palaces that literally leave you speechless. Our guide Kristine was fabulous! She is so very knowledgeable about Bavaria and the interesting history of both castles. Free time was very nice. We traveled by bus, which was very comfortable. While the tour group was large, it didn’t at all impact the beauty of the tour. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour. My husband and I made wonderful memories. If you want to see the true beauty of the Bavarian castles, make sure this tour is included in your adventures!!

The palaces and views were amazing. Cash purchase of entrance tickets to venues created some confusion and was a challenge for host to provide change. Would have also been helpful to know in advance that many local businesses at Neuschwanstein also require cash. The host of the tour purchased tickets and gave instructions about entry times and procedures. My granddaughter and I enjoyed the day and glad we went.

Tony is a great driver. He drives so smooth :) Christine is a talented guide. With her humor and interesting history, the trip was fun and not boring at all :) You have some times on your own during the visit too. I enjoyed it a lot. Thank you.

The pacing of this tour was very good, it kept to the schedule and gave us ample time to explore both, especially the Neuschwanstein Castle which was the key itinerary item for me. I would recommend this tour for those who want no fuss with organising travel to these locarions. Maria and the bus driver were both professional. Maria had good and interesting information to share on the bus rides to keep it engaging (while also give us breaks to sleep after lengthy walking). My tour was at full capacity so it was about 50ppl on the bus. This did make the tours inside the castles a bit squishy but I think that is normal unless you did more private tours. But everyone was on time so props to everyone for sticking to the schedule!

Our guide Christine was very knowledgeable and provided lots of information on the way to the Palace and the Castle. She gave us history of the family and how the buildings came to exist as well as information about the local towns and the alps as we went through.
She also provided information about the price of entry, arranged tickets on our behalf and gave some insight into how much walking and how many stairs were involved so people could decide before paying.

We were blessed with fine weather, which made the day all the more enjoyable. The guide on the bus was easy to understand and informative. First visited Linderhof castle. Paid on the bus the additional 33 Euro for the guide to pre-purchase the tour tickets. The tours inside the castles were definitely worth it, but it definitely cost us extra due to the guide getting the tickets. Doing the tour at Linderhof left little time to spend outside the castle. Then onto Neuschwanstein Castle. The guide suggested to EVERYONE to walk up to the castle. The map said 40 minutes, but she said it would only take 25 minutes. She said don't worry about taking the bus! My suggestion would be to spend the 3 Euro for the one way ticket on the bus, which takes you up to the bridge for the higher view of the castle. Then you can walk DOWN to the castle. (If you walk up to the castle, you still then need to walk UP to the bridge. The bus does not go to the castle at all (up or down). This was not explained by the guide. Again we paid the extra for the tour of the castle, which was worth it, however, we were a party of 2 but the guide gave us tickets for different tours and pretty much told us to suck it up. We managed to make our own arrangement with other travellers to swap to the same tour. After the tour there was barely enough time to walk down again to meet the tour bus on time. (As mentioned above, there was no option to catch the bus down.) Overall, the day was great, the castles amazing, but we were disappointed by the guide.

Happy we chose this company. The guide gave lots of interesting history and commentary en route. It was a large group and bus but plus side of that was there was a washroom on board, and the bus was very nice with good air conditioning. The castles are interesting and I really enjoyed the scenery. A few things to be aware of if deciding to do a tour to these castles: interior viewing of the castles are in guided groups only (regardless of whether you arrive with a tour group) and are less than 30 min each, with no photos allowed inside. These are major tourist attractions so quite a lot of crowds, creating a bit of a Disney-land vibe. From Munich it is quite a lot of driving compared to the amount of time spent inside the castles but the scenery makes it worthwhile overall. Our only feedback for the tour is that we wish we’d had more time to explore the grounds at Linderhoff and less time to kill at Neuschwanstein waiting for our entrance time.
