This is a must do tour to get a great feel for the souks and see places you would easily miss if you were to do it yourself. Mohamed was an awesome tour guide, he took us to everything we wanted, got us great prices and was so kind and funny. I would highly recommend this tour to any one staying in Marrakesh who wants to visit the souks! But bring your bags because you will end up wanting to buy everything !!

The tour guide was very friendly and there was some interesting facts about the souks on the walk. There was only 3 of us on this tour and I do feel some things were skipped because of this. On the booking page it says we were meant to stop for tea (on the other twos booking page which was different to mine it says lunch too) and we did not. Overall I felt this tour was unnecessary as I had to cut through the souks to get to the pick up point and it was just walking around the souks following the guide. I would recommend this if you are someone who may feel intimidated by the souks. I do think this tour is overpriced compared to other tours in Marrakesh.

This is more than just a shopping tour. Mohamed takes you to some places of interest along the way and provides some background history plus visits to some off-the-beaten track artisan shops. You could spend a week exploring the shops here but the morning tour gives you a good scene-setter.

I was extremely unhappy and upset with our souk tour. Our guide met us at the meeting spot. It turns out despite all the people waiting at the Cafe for tours my husband and I were the only two people in our English speaking tour. He told us some history of the country and then took us to shops off the beaten path. He then took us to a big wooden door that led us into a big shop. He put some cloth in the door. He told us about the collection of goods there antiques, home goods, jewelry. We really did the trip to get the lay of the land, but a shop person took over and the guide stayed on the first floor and shop person took us downstairs. We saw a little inlaid wooden box and a silver bracelet. I wasn't even that interested and just asked the price. He told us over $500. I said NO, not interested at all. He went down to $480 and I said NO again and was ready to go. The man suddenly took my husband and said "Come with me Ali Baba" and took him away from me. It happened in a minute. Left me alone and then a girl came right in wrapping up the box and bracelet. I really got scared and said "Where's my husband?" She pointed upstairs. I was calling him and went up and found them coming towards me. My husband said,"Happy Anniversary." He had been pressured into buying them!! They divided us up so that I couldn't say "no" and they got him to pay for them. I really didn't even want the items. And the guide didn't intervene on our behalf, which I had heard they would do. Felt totally ripped off and taken advantage of especially as a woman. My husband wouldn't even tell me what he paid. This was a horrible, scary experience. After that he tried taking us to places and I just wanted out and we ended the tour.

Booked a tour of the souks for my husband and I as it was our first time in Marrakech. Decided to book it for our first day and was really glad I did. Mohammed, our tour guide was brilliant - very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He really helped us get our bearings, he gave us tips on bartering, showed us the artisanal areas and filled us in on the history of the Marrakech souks. If it’s your first time in Marrakech I would thoroughly recommend this tour and Mohammed.

Mohamed was a pleasure to be with , he explained abit of the culture of Marrakesh, he took us to shop the things we asked for and helped us get good prices for them . He also took us to try some amazing food we would have never found without him , I recommend this tour 100% , we felt very safe with him , thankyou so much Mohamed xx
