On this private day trip from Seville city to Cordoba and the Arabic Mosque, you will experience the charm and delights of Cordoba. This ancient city was long ago the capital of Spain during Moorish times and the largest city in Europe.
With our private local Cordoba guide, we will visit the impressive Arabic Mosque, giving you an insight into Cordoba's past and history. The Mosque at the time was the largest in the world and after the conquest by the Christians, a Cathedral was built right in the middle of the Mosque! Afterwards, we will visit the ancient, narrow, winding streets of the Jewish Quarter, the Synagogue and the Roman bridge. (approx. 2 hours)
You will have plenty of free time to explore Cordoba even further and enjoy lunch (not included)

The only reason we wanted to go to Cordoba was to enter the Mosque-Cathedral. Knowing that April 28 was a Sunday, there are limited hours to visit and we had to be back in Sevilla by 5:30pm for an evening engagement. So I contacted our Guide/Driver Ramon from Andalucía Geographic - see photo confirming we had tickets for 3:00pm entry.
First of all the van was not a Mercedes and its suspension was shot, so rough ride… Then 3:00pm comes and Ramon hands us over to the Guide for the Mosque-Cathedral Private Guided Tour who was excellent but the first thing she asked from us were our “Tickets” for entry. At this point Ramon was gone and not answering our calls - stressful and angry - the lady guide was able to get us tickets from their company’s no-shows for the day so we were able to get in…
The ride home was very quiet as Ramon knew we were very angry. We did get back to our hotel by 5:30 in the rickety van… Beware of Andalucía Geographic and Ramon!

Javi was a great tour guide and driver to Cordoba. We stopped at Carmona on the way back to have another feel for a small town. We had our meals with Javi, and he talked to us about local foods and traditions. He also recommended places to go in Sevilla. He was amazing!
Jose was our local tour guide in Cordoba. He knew so many details and fun facts about the mosque-Cathedral, the city and Jewish quarter.
In summary, a fantastic trip!
