This half day cooking class is an excellent cooking and eating experience which helps you learn plenty interesting information about Indian cuisine and its cooking techniques. The classes are held in home kitchen of a local chef.

I don’t know where to begin…first Chef Shikha was an absolute Godsend; as far tres to get out of the airport and to my lesson. If it wasn’t for her calm head she never would have made it. She started the class going above and beyond. And once I arrived at the location she was so kind to offer me a nice welcome lassi and a sandwich so I wouldn’t be starving as we were making foods.
I had taken the all day old/new food tour with this company in 2017. It was such an amazing experience I always said the next time I’m in Delhi I am taking a full on cooking class. I’m so glad I did.
It’s an interesting class that cover the spice palette for basic Indian cooking and how how to layer 7 spices to get a plethora of flavors. Bonus they even gave me some spices to take home :-)
We made a chutney, a snack, veggies and the sauce for butter chicken from
Scratch NOT a powder.
I can’t wait to try these recipes when I get home. The food I made that day in class. It was so good :

Our experience was incredible. From booking to class end, we felt welcomed and had an incredible time. Booking was easy and they responded quickly to inquiries about the cooking experience. The experience itself was amazing, a fantastic mix of history, trivia, explanation and hands on cooking experience. Shikha and Rajeev were wonderful hosts and the food we made together was so delicious. The small group atmosphere left room for everyone to try everything as hands on as possible and led to a lot of laughter. Will definitely do this again!

We had two tours - the first was the 'Food Tour with a Chef', and Rajiv and his driver took us around Old Delhi to sample the delights of the street food, which was a really interesting tour and the food was delicious. The next day, we went to Rajiv's home for a cooking lesson with his wife, Shikha. Again, a really interesting day, and amazing food. We would highly recommend Food Tour in Delhi, as they are reliable, professional and their food hygiene is second to none! No Delhi belly for us...... :-)
