Enjoy Kona’s most beautiful, local snorkeling spot. Our afternoon snorkeling trip takes place in Pawai Bay (pronounced Pa-vai) – ocean permitting – and is only accessible to guests by boat. This beautiful lava rock coastline is set aside for the use of native Hawaiian children, inaccessible to non-natives.
We are fortunate to be able to moor in the bay and share the beautiful shallow reef wildlife and educational briefings with guests about the wildlife we encounter. This secluded location is a true local gem and is known as the most beautiful local spot in Kona.

Awesome trip. First of all the Captain and our guide were both the nicest people. We were made to feel so welcomed. Truly awesome people. Our ride out to the location was beautiful. We saw Spinner Dolphins!!!! We then had an hour in the water off the Kona Coast. Amazing fish and coral. Once again our guide made the trip so special by educating us about the fish and coral. We also felt very safe knowing we were in good hands. On our way back to the dock we saw more Spinner Dolphins and a Monk Seal. Awesome! What a great trip. Highly recommended!!!!!!

This is our third trip with kona snorkel and as always they are excellent - small groups great guides in the water and they adapt to the weather to make the trip fun. Highly recommend and we will be back on our next trip to the Big Island

This was a wonderful trip with cool, confident knowledgeable guides. We got so much great information about the island and the sealife in addition to a fabulous snorkeling experience. We felt safe and had a great time. Highly reccomend this crew!

Jeanette and Capt Ryan were amazing!! We swam with an endangered turtle and viewed many whales as a bonus!

We had a great time with Sheri and Jeanette! They were so knowledgeable and helfpul. What really made the difference is that they got into the water themselves and guided us around the reef and helping the not so great swimmers in my group to locate fish. Everyone had a blast. What was also great is that we went to a spot that was off the beaten path and we had the place all to ourselves! highly recommend this tour.
