Join our small group tour led by a professional, local guide and enjoy a pleasant walk through the history and the flavours of the Medieval city of Florence. Enter the San Lorenzo Market and be amazed by its colours. Pass through the stalls and stop to try the local products: have some schiacciata with the balsamic vinegar, try the cantuccini, the homemade fresh pasta, and more! The tour lasts 2.5 hours and it is led by a local expert guide!

Guide was great. Loved the gelato! This is reasonably priced for the amount of food. A lot of delicious breads and pasta!

10/10! Host, Dilara was so kind, attentive, and informative. Those who had bad stomachs (me 🫣) or special diet (vegetarian) were accommodated. She was educational and spread out the food and history lessons so you didn’t get too full throughout. Recommend to wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking.

Tasting of typical Floretine foods in non touristy spots.
Especially enjoyed the informative tasting experience of Olive oil, balsamic vinegar, truffles, and pistachio cream. The authentic Gelato tasting was a delightful end to this tour.
Our guide also gave historic significance of foods and places we walked through. Highly recommend!

Our tour guide Aurora was joyful and interesting.
We tasted lots of local foods that we wouldn’t think to taste in places we wouldn’t find.
There was a good variety of foods and sweets.
It is well worth the money, we were satiated and satisfied

We’ve done quite a few food tours over the years and the tour with Marilisa was just perfect! We weren’t sure what to expect as this tour was so much more affordable than many of the other Florence food tours that we looked at it, but we were not disappointed.
We tried locally made foods from traditional vendors and had a great time, learning about he food and Florence history at the same time.
We had cantucci (almond biscotti), coccoli (salty, delicious fried dough balls with cheese and ham), olive oil, balsamic vinegar, truffle oils, freshly made pasta (4 types), cold meats and cheeses and gelato (and I’ve probably left something out!).
Marilisa took care to ensure we could all hear her explanations, she made sure we had shade (it was a very hot day), she told interesting stories and we loved it!
Grazie Marilisa
