We will collect you directly at your hotel / apartment in Krakow city centre. The tour lasts about 7 hours from pick up to drop off. It is conducted in a group with an English speaking local guide. You do not have to make any additional reservation apart from booking this tour with us as this tour already includes English guide and entry tickets. Our tour leader or English speaking driver will take a very good care of you throughout the day; from the journey to checking you in at the venue, transporting you to each Camp and on your way back to your accommodation in Krakow. The tour includes visiting both parts of the Camp with a licensed local guide: Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau. There is a short break during the tour (about 10 mins) between visiting the two Camps. Feel free to take own lunch. Alternatively you can use the snack shops or vending machines which are located right there. IMPORTANT: You must provide names of all participants as entry tickets are named.

A visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau is a must when visiting Poland and I highly recommend the Private Car Tour with Prime Tours. Tomasz was a friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging host on our drive to/from Auschwitz which made the tour even more special. During the drive, we had discussions on many topics which gave us a better understanding of Poland in general. He accommodated our last-minute changes to our pick-up and drop-off locations and assisted with some modifications during the tour to support a family member with mobility challenges. He made sure the entire experience went smoothly for us.

Our day trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau was great! Our pickup was seamless and the drive was comfortable. Though we were with a larger group for the majority of the actual tour, our driver was the guide and it almost felt like a private tour. The knowledge and kindness of our guide was beyond anything we could have asked for. Obviously the trip was a solemn one, but he did an excellent job of sharing accurate information and making sure that everyone was aware of the history and importance of where we were every step of the way. Hands down one of the best tours we’ve ever booked - highly recommend this company over others!

If you're interested in history and the atrocities that happened during WW2, I would highly recommend this trip.
Firstly I would like to mention our driver Pavel who was very knowledgeable about the local area and gave lots of recommendations of what we could do during our time in Krakow. He was very friendly and went the extra mile by saying that if we needed anything during our stay then to contact him, which I thought was kind. The transport was very clean and we felt safe in his care.
The tour was incredibly moving and will leave a lasting impression on all of us. The tour guide was very knowledgeable too. I think the only downside to to the tour is that we didn't get time to explore alone. Whilst she gave us lots of information, it would have been nice to have given us time to read the boards. Additionally when we were in Auschwitz Birkenau, there was a whole side that we didn't go in to. We could have done with just an extra hour to have a look ourselves. That said, this is my only criticism about the trip.
I would recommend using this tour guide company to visit Auschwitz and whilst we didn't have time to look by ourselves, I think we learned a lot from our tour guide which we might not have found out otherwise.

A must do tour if you are staying in Krakow. We were collected from our hotel and dropped at a central
Pick up point, during our transfer we were briefed on the itinerary for the day and given detailed instructions on the coach we needed to board and who would be accompanying us to Auschwitz. The coach journey was around 1 hour 15 minutes from Krakow.
On arrival at Auschwitz our coach was divided into 2 groups depending on our tour time. There was an opportunity for a short break before we commenced the tour of the camp. The Auschwitz guide was excellent and was happy to answer any questions from those that had them.
The tour of the first site was around 2 hours then there was an opportunity to eat some lunch before making our way back to the coach to drive to the camp at Birkenau. The transfer took just 10 minutes. This camp is an outside tour so if you are going in winter ensure you have layers on as it was cold and windy. The duration of this tour was an hour.
We then had a short comfort break and boarded the coach for our transfer back to Krakow.
Fantastic trip and well worth a visit.

We had a great experience on this tour. The mini bus was comfortable. They picked us up near our hotel and Alex our tour guide for the whole trip was great too! She was very helpful and made sure we got to where we needed to be! We were also able to purchase a bag lunch that they brought us to have when we got there. The tour guide at Auschwitz was wonderful. Very knowledgeable. It’s a long day and there are a lot of other tour groups so it moves fast. Wish there would have been a way to take more time at the exhibits but our tour guide Ryszard said that even 3 days wouldn’t be enough to cover it all. Would recommend this tour!!
