When in Monterey, kayaking on the bay is a must. Most renters describe this activity as the highlight of their visit to the area. There are so many mammals and birds to see when on the water.

The staff was very helpful in teaching our kids how to row properly and showed us a large area map on where to go and what'd we see at each area. The whole experience was absolutely amazing! We are definitely going to do it in 6 weeks when we visit again! If you want to rest, find a bed of help, grab a piece (gently) until you stop moving and then let go. The kelp will situate itself under your kayak and kinda hold you still for a bit so you can relax and take it all in without being pushed or pulled by the ocean's tide as much. Amazing experience!!! A must experience when in Monterey!!

We just did the kayak rental rather than a guided tour and it was great. The kayaks were easy to handle in the ocean, and we got to see a ton of sea otters, sea lions, and other wildlife.

Best thing ever! Staff super attentive. They get you out on the water and you’re on your own. They give you a good run down of animals and things to stay away from. Definitely will go again. They give you clothes to stay dry in as well as wet bags to put your things in. I highly suggest to at minimum to wear the pants. You are able to leave your things in the store but it’s not locked up.

Had a great time paddling in the bay! My son and I selected single, unguided kayak rentals and really enjoyed traversing the bay and marina at our own pace.
