Upon hotel pickup, your transportation will take you north from Bangkok to Ayutthaya Historical Park, situated approximately 53 miles (85 km) away. Once the capital of Thailand, also known as the Kingdom of Siam, from 1350 until 1767, Ayutthaya suffered extensive destruction by the Burmese. Today, it stands as a UNESCO World Heritage site, adorned with well-preserved temples, monasteries, palace ruins, and statues of beheaded Buddhas. 06:00 – 07:15 hrs. Your journey begins with a hotel pickup followed by a transfer to the River City Shopping Complex, located at Siphraya, adjacent to the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel. Morning Bus Departure: 08:00 hrs. 09:30 AM - Upon arrival in Ayutthaya, you'll step into a World Heritage City, the historic capital of Thailand from 1350 to 1767 A.D. Renowned as one of the most captivating historical sites in the country, Ayutthaya beckons visitors to explore its renowned Buddhist temples and delve into its rich cultural heritage.
3. Wat Mahathat
Also known as the “Monastery of Great Relic “.It was the center of Buddhism in the Ayutthaya Kingdom Burmese put it on fire. A Buddha's head entwined within the roots of a tree is one of the most recognizable images in the temple. Wat Na Phra Men or “The Monastery in Front of the Funeral Pyre”. The crowned Buddha the most important Buddha image. The crowned image sits in the Subduing Mara posture and measures 6 m high and 4.50 m in width across the lap. The image was cast of metal and covered with gold leaf. The peculiarities of Phra Buddha are that the image is attired in royal dress complete with crown, earrings, necklace, chest, and arm ornament.
4. Wat Phra Sri Sanphet
Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, situated within the Grand Palace grounds, was the most significant temple in Ayutthaya. It served as a model for the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok.
5. Vihara Phra Mongkhon Bophit
Originally, the large bronze Buddha image housed at Wihan Phramongkhon Bophit stood exposed in an open area adjacent to the grand palace. Subsequently, a structure known as Wihan was constructed to enclose it.
6. Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Lokayasutharam)
Wat Lokayasutharam features the prominent Phra Noon (Reclining Buddha), a massive reclining Buddha image, as its main attraction. The compound area also encompasses two other ancient temples and surrounding ruins, adding to the historical significance of the site.

Afternoon by Cruise 01:15 PM - Welcome aboard the Grand Pearl Cruise Liner at Wat Chong-lom Pier in Nonthaburi. Indulge in a sumptuous buffet lunch featuring a diverse selection of oriental and western cuisines as you relax and take in the enchanting scenery along the River of Kings. The tour stopped for 40 minutes at the reclining Buddha. It would be better to stay 5 minutes there and adding one more temple!
