Yousef was a great guide on a wonderful trip. We visited maybe 10 - 12 food stops ranging from market to best restaurant via the oldest Turkish Delight shop in town. We were on the Asian as well as European parts of Istanbul reaching the later via a short boat ride. The event was a great mix of interesting and fun.

We booked his tour from the U.K. and we’re delighted to meet Yusuf who took us on an experience which, I suspect, would be impossible on one’s own. His knowledge of Turkish history is encyclopaedic as his knowledge of Istanbul and where to find really authentic food. We started on the European side of Istanbul where we had a couple of small dishes and then took the ferry across the Bosporus to the Asian side of the city less common for tourists where we were taken to some hidden away places and some very famous ones. The authenticity of the tour and the genuine interest of Yusuf made it an evening to remember for all of the right reasons. Thank you Yusuf you’re a star!🙏

We’ve had the most amazing day with Emel tasting all the culinary delights that Istanbul has to offer .
We tried all kinds of foods that we would have been nervous to try on our own , so it was fantastic to have someone to choose all the best dishes to taste.
It’s been a fantastic introduction to the world of Turkish cuisine.
We also had the sweetest , nicest guide who was a pleasure to meet and learn from .

This was such a great tour.
Our guide, Emel was fantastic. She was so knowledgeable and showed us some great areas of the city we probably wouldn't have visited otherwise.
We tried so many different delicious foods.
Emel was so generous with her time, going above and beyond what we expected.
10/10. Loved our morning eating our way around Istanbul!

It was so great to spend the day with Emel to tour some of the city’s most historic attractions. Her knowledge is extensive and delivered perfectly for us as parents, but also for the kids, who really warmed to her. I don’t know where we would have been without her; picking out the key exhibits (from many thousands) at the Topkapi palace, finding the best place for lunch and to buy supplies to bring home from the dizzying spice bazaar! Our personal highlight was the Blue Mosque, so beautiful and peaceful. But it didn’t end there. Emel was more than happy to give us her personal recommendations outside of the tour’s itinerary too, particularly in choosing which sights to explore on the following days and even the best place to get one of the city’s famous fish sandwiches! (And I think she was definitely right about that too). We found this indispensable, since in a city of this size and variety, it’s very easy to make the wrong choice, especially on a first visit. I think that we can say that thanks to Emel, we definitely saw some of the best that Istanbul has to offer. Thanks Emel!

What an amazing tour!! Emel, our amazing guide, knows everything about the city. She showed us amazing food for the whole afternoon and told us all about what Turkish people eat and what they like. The food was amazing and of such variety and quality. We would not hesitate to recommend this tour and Emel in particular to anyone who wants to know more about Turkish cuisine and tradition.

We recently took this tour when we were in Istanbul and were lucky enough to have Emel Kesir to be our guide for the night. We got to try food that we never had before and they were all delicious, especially those stuffed mussels. Emel made sure we had a great time and at the same time providing us with historical info not just about food but the community and the city. Highly recommend this tour!
