WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Peloponnese
At the time of your choice, your informative & professional Tour driver will be at your Hotel reception or other residence promptly to escort you on your tour to the Peloponnese.
2. Corinth Canal
Our first stop at the narrowing between mainland Greece and the Peloponnese is at the impressive Corinth canal. Finished in 1893 and one of the wonders of its time, learn all about its many interesting ill-fated and varied Histories, from ancient times to the present as you view the gentle flotillas of yachts traversing beneath its plunging cliff line.
3. Ancient Corinth (Archaia Korinthos)
After crossing into the Peloponnese, our first main stop explores the beautifully preserved remains of Ancient Corinth, one of Greece’s most powerful and influential city-states of Antiquity. Stroll through its streets, temples, markets, and fountains in the footsteps of the Classical Greeks, Ancient Romans & St. Paul before you. Refreshments & rest stops are also on hand at the local Cafes at its entrance if needed.
4. Archaeological Museum of Corinth
A small Museum in the Archaeological site with a limited but interesting collection of artifacts from the site.
5. Archaeological Site Mycenae
Next we come to the imposing remains of Ancient Mycenae, one of the most important sites in the development of Ancient Greece. Not only central to the ‘Mycenaean period, from 1600 to 1100 BC which formed the first major widespread civilization in Europe at the time, but also home to the palace of the legendary Agamemnon, leader of the Greeks during the Trojan War. Passing through the 20-meter wide city walls, entering through the gigantic lion's gate and exploring Agamemnon’s throne room and associated Toombs of the site with their huge construction is an amazing experience. Excavations of its various Toombs to date have uncovered over 15Kg of gold and other famous & priceless treasures, many of which you will see in its modern on-site museum including Agamemnon's death mask.
6. Archaeological Museum of Ancient Mycenae
The Museum is locaed within the main Archaeological site and we recommend visiting this first before exploring the main site becasue it provides very nice background information as well as many unique exhibits which help bring the life & times of the Ancient Myceneans to life.
7. Nafplio
Time for lunch after the activities of the morning, we arrive at one of the most beautiful towns in Greece, the historic port city of Nafplio by the sea. Nafplion has a definite artistic feel with enchanting narrow streets of Neoclassic & Venetian architecture, upmarket local craft & clothes shops. Its seafront is packed with cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes with views to the Venetian castle of Bourtzi in the bay. Time to wander its pretty streets, pick up a souvenir, or just relax over lunch.
8. Sanctuary of Asklepios
The ruins of the Ancient Sanctuary of Asklepios form a part of the same site of the Ancient Theatre. At the end of your day, you can relax and recharge in comfort as your driver returns you safely back to your Hotel or other destination.
9. The Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus
After lunch we visit the UNESCO-listed Sanctuary of Asklepios, first healing centre of the Ancient World and where you will also find the impressive Theatre of Epidaurus, one of the most visited ancient sites in Greece. The temple and theatre date from the 4th century and feature masterpieces of classical Greek architecture. Join the other visitors who test its world-famous acoustics with a poem or a song before your return !
10. Epidaurus Archaeological Museum
A small but focused Museum within the main Archaeological site containing many fascinating finds including written tablets describing the healing performed at the Asclepious which is an amazing insight into the main activity of this site thousands of years before.
11. Nemea
OLIVE ESTATE OPTION: If choosing this option during booking you will visit an Olive Estate where you will learn all about the Production of varieties of Olive and olive oil production with on-site experts. An olive oil tasting is included. Note that you can visit up to two of the other sites listed in combination with the Estate Visit.
12. Nemea
NEMEA WINERY OPTION: If choosing the Olive Estate or Winery option during booking you can visit one of the best local Wineries with an expert-led tour of the winery and tasting of up to 5 wines included. Note that you can visit your choice of up to two of the other sites listed in combination with the Winery Visit.
13. Ancient Corinth (Archaia Korinthos)
ANCIENT CORINTH HALF-DAY OPTION: If choosing this option during booking your tour involves a visit to the Archaeological Site of Ancient Corinth and the Corinth Canal. We can also visit Akrocorinth on request.

This was an amazing experience! Our driver Yannis Kontopoulos was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. He was a terrific driver and took us to all of the important spots we had time for.

Excellent way to end our Greece vacation. Pickup at the cruise terminal for a day exploring the Peloponnese. The ruins at Mycenae were awe inspiring and our driver recommended a very fine seafood restaurant in Naupflion, a town I would come back to. Finished our day with a wine tasting in Nemea. Our driver/guide Val was informative and entertaining, and as a former taxi driver in Athens was able to navigate the afternoon traffic with no problem.

We enjoyed our private tour, which was made especially nice by our driver, Vasilis. His excellent driving skills negotiating the fierce traffic in Athens made us feel safe as we left the city. He was friendly and warm from the moment he picked us up at our hotel, to the very end of the day when he returned us to our starting point. Throughout the long day he made sure we were properly hydrated and entertained. Vasilis filled in valuable details of ancient history as we drove and selected well chosen sight-lines and overlooks to best appreciate the terrain and surrounding archeology in the Peloponnese, he also made an excellent recommendation for where to have lunch in Nafplio. He was a wonderful host and a nice person to share our day with.

Michael is an amazing driver. He gave us a lot of useful information and drove safe and efficiently, giving us time to see everything. He also speaks a very good English and we had an interesting conversation during the trip, which was also amazing.

I totally recommend this trip, specially to see the Corinth ruins, with its roman road, and the Epidaurus theater, which is mind blowing.

First of all, shout out to our EXCELLENT tour guide, Dem! He was so knowledgeable and made this tour over the top for us! My husband was in heaven just talking with Dem about Greek history (as he studied this is school). Whether you are a Greek history buff or not, this was a great way to spend a day outside of Athens and immerse yourself in the history of the Peloponnese in Corinth, Mycenae, Nafplio and Epidaurus. We started by stopping at the Corinth Canal for pics and then to visit the Archeological Museum of ancient Corinth. From there we made our way to the archeological sites of Mycenae. Afterwards, we headed to enjoy a wonderful late lunch (we like to call “Linner”) in Nafplio and a little time to walk around and this relaxing seaside town. Lastly, we headed to the ancient theatre of Epidaurus. Amazing they still do events at this massive theatre! At this point, sit back and relax for a couple hour drive back to Athens (or chat up Dem for more Greek history if you’re my hubby). Excellent tour, tour guide and tour company! Just book it!

From the pickup at our hotel to drop off, this was a 5 star tour. Demos was so knowledgeable and kind. We had the best time. We added the Olive Oil tat sting to our tour and highly recommend adding. The beehive at Mycenae was amazing. Corinth Canal, beautiful Nafplio and the acoustics at Epidaurus. Just an all around wonderful tour.

We had an excellent day, despite heavy rain. Our guide was wonderful. He shared just the right amount of interesting information. He was very flexible and helpful.

All of the sights are fascinating and would have been even more beautiful with some sun.

This tour is an excellent way to get a taste of the Peloponnese. I strongly recommend it.
