Rhonald was an awesome and FUN tour guide for Rainbow mountain. He knows the history of the region so well which was fun to learn. The rainbow mountain was beautiful. Rhonald doubled as an amazing photographer. The lunch was at the cutest restaurant with delicious food. Our driver, Donis was great as well. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I highly recommend the later tour. Far less people at the top.

Worth the extra money to do the 0800 departure. Got great pictures. Guide Ronald and driver Arnoldo were both great! Lunch was the best food I had in Peru.

Arnoldo was a fantastic driver. He arrived at the exact pick up time and drove very well on the unpaved, one lane roads. Ronald was a great guide. He provided interesting commentary during the drive and was helpful during the hike. He took some fantastic photos of us on the top. We walked cause we had been warned the horses were pack animals and hard to ride but that did not appear to be the case. The food at lunch was the best food I had during my stay in Peru. A phenomenal experience.

This trip offers you leaving Cusco at 8:00am - a real advantage and in fact a better quieter time on the Mountain. Nayda the guide is excellent - bubbly - knowledgeable. We had a v good safe driver.
Good snacks provided on the way - toilet stops. Advice as whether to use horses was v helpful and organised if you wanted. We had a brilliant day. Took some fab pictures. The meal on the way home was v good quality.
I can’t praise the trip enough - the only thing you need to consider is currently 4h in a car each way with the current route. Personally I’d still do it in a heart beat and I’m 60.

We absolutely loved our experience! Ronald was a knowledgeable, fun, and kind guide. The timing was perfect, as we ascended as everyone else was coming up. So we only had 10ish ppl at the top with us - unforgettable. Also, great lunch- the best food we had on a Cusco tour by a mile. Thanks Ronald!

The Rainbow Mountain was amazing!! The guide was great. There was a bit of confusion about whether horse, motorcycles or ATVs would be available and what the cost would be but it all worked out. The only thing I would change is to have different groups based on if you are walking or riding something up. We waited about an hour and a half for the people that chose to walk. The lunch was fantastic.

What we like this tour is that we don't have to start at 4am instead 8am and have lots of time at the top of the mountain. Our tour guide Nayea is great and knowledgeable.

Rainbow mountain is beautiful and worth it, and the late departure is definitely recommended, however what’s not mentioned is that for some months the original route has been unavailable and an alternative twice as long is being taken.
It’s 4 hours each way!! Of which 1 hour is on a dirt road, in a not very comfortable van (especially if you take the non reclining back seats). Essentially you spend 8 hours in a van, the whole thing took over 12 hours.
Also, note that ‘lunch’ is served at 5pm!
The tour guide assigned to us was bit ‘silly’ and not very caring, one of us got car sick due to the windy road and not much care was offered , note they do not carry a first aid kit with over the counter medication, which is intriguing considering they provide oxygen.

Great experience! Well organized with an amazing tour guide and a great driver. starting the tour later and paying a few extra bucks (compared to most other similar tours) meant that there were very few people on the mountain when we reached the top. Definitely can recommend this one :)

This tour was a great experience! Compared to other tours this one has a comfortable pick-up time in the morning and is well organized. Our professional tour guide Nayda was very friendly, well prepared and always made sure that we have a enjoyable time. Once you arrive with the bus you can either take a horse to the top or walk. However, when choosing to walk you should not underestimate the effect of the high altitude. The lunch on the way back home was very delicious.
