The train ride, bus and our guide were fabulous. We had a perfect day and Johnny was amazing, fun and informative. The agents who met us were not as communicative as they could have been. Very quiet during our transfer to and from the bus. The buses and trains were very comfortable and clean and Machu Picchu is breathtaking. I love Viator. You guys never disappoint.

The tour was amazing. Tour guide, Paul, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Getting to site and back was made super easy. If you have the time I would recommend doing it over a night or two but if like me you don't have much time to spend on Cusco this tour is perfect

Like anyone else traveling to Peru, I was excited to see Machu Picchu and chose the best company by looking at the reviews. Given that VIPAC had good reviews, I thought I would give it a chance, but I did not have an enjoyable experience with them.
First, I originally booked one month in advance, and a few days later, they asked for confirmation via email. Due to my oversight, I didn't respond within 48 hours, and they canceled my trip. I had to work with them again to book another trip, which wasn't ideal, but that's not the main reason why I didn't have a good experience.
They provided a lack of communication, leaving travelers confused about where to go. From picking up at the hostel to the train station to the bus, you'll have to navigate on your own. I was the one that consistently try to communicate with them via email/whatsapp, not the other way around.
My tour guide was nice but rushed us through Machu Picchu, allowing limited time to take photos, which was hugely disappointing. I assumed we had more time to take pictures and explore at our own pace, but that was not the case. We came back to the train station 3 hours early when we could've explored more at Machu Picchu, a once-in-a-lifetime sight. Very disappointing.
Worse yet, the train ride was supposed to be 4 hours but ended up taking 6 hours. When I got off the train, the VIPAC shuttle bus was not there—no courtesy call or text. Instead, I had to text them. With a lack of communication, I decided to walk alone to the hostel.
There are plenty of better options than this one. I do not recommend this company, especially for the Machu Picchu tour.

The place from when you arrive is simply spectacular, the train ride, getting to Aguascalientes and from there going up to Machu Picchu is fantastic, a place full of mysticism, incredible views, and full of an indescribable vibe.

The entire 16 hour day was a whirlwind adventure - from the 4:30am hotel pickup, to the 2 hour bus ride, 2 hour train ride, and 30 minute zig-zag bus ride up to Machu Picchu, 4 hours touring the citadel, and then the reverse all the way back to Cusco! Johnny was a great tour guide at the citadel and had diagrams and stories that brought everything together. The entire team worked to make everything go smoothly, and were well prepared.

Excellent experience!
It is a beautiful place full of a lot of history. Our guide, Elvis, was very good. He took the time to take spectacular photos and videos of us. We learned a lot about the history of Machu Picchu, I recommend it.

The most rewarding part of our visit to Machu Picchu was our guide Johnny. Thanks to his devoted and inspiring tour leadership, we managed to not only see, but feel the intriguing history and faith of one of the Inka’s most secret city. Thank you for unforgetable experiance.

An amazing tour that is well organized and full of information about the importance of this historical sight. Guide even gives time to do additional hikes where you can obtain breathtaking, memorable photos. Highly recommend this tour for visitors to Peru!
