We had a fantastic time. We were initially a little disappointed about not going on the Hogwarts Express due to a train issue. The company was transparent about the information and we were still able to see the viaduct. Alistair was a fantastic tour guide. He was knowledgeable and funny. I would highly recommend this company, this tour, and Alistair.

I was lucky enough to sit in front a lot of the trip and get the best views and bonus facts from Alistair. He was fantastic! We’re a family of 5 including our 6 year old daughter. The drive gets long but there’s a lot of breaks for snacks and to stretch your legs. It’s a really great tour if you want to see a lot of Scotland in a short time. Next time we visit we’ll probably focus on spending more time at specific sites. Thanks Alistair!

We had an excellent tour with Alistair. All of the stops either had amazing scenery or an opportunity to visit a charming town in the Highlands. We did not find ourselves bored or inundated with historical information. His stories and jokes were entertaining and informative. We also appreciated the flexibility of the schedule & getting to choose how we spent our time at stops. We really had a lovely time and highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to explore Scotland!

The tour was great! We were extremely disappointed that the train company cancelled our train but another day on the bus was a great substitute as we got to see the viaduct and a couple other stops that wouldn’t have been on the train.

We joined Highland Explorer 3 day Tour to The Isle of Skye in May 2024 and had a wonderful trip. Our awesome driver/tour guide was Tiegan. She was outgoing, encouraged questions, described what we were going to do and be seeing, including many myths and legends. Tiegan kept us laughing and stopped often for picture ops and comfort breaks. Scenery was amazing, so beautiful! Weather was mixed, as we expected for May. Sadly, the company running The Hogwarts Express cancelled the afternoon train that week. Nothing to do with Highland Explorer and apparently this happens periodically so if this is your primary reason for this tour, just be aware. Tiegan made up for this by including extra photo stops. Highly recommend this trip.

This trip was absolutely amazing. Thanks to our amazing tour guides Dusty, Chris and Torva. You'll hear the most amazing myths and legends and learn alot about Scotland's history along the way. We saw the most amazing scenery and breathtaking views. I definitely recommend this tour from Haggis Adventures!

I have not been able to review the tour which originated out of Inverness on this website for some reason so will post here.
We started in Inverness. Amber Kenny was our guide and she was fabulous. Upbeat positive well-informed efficient & friendly…and a good driver! Everything you would want in a guide that you are spending three days with! We had a fabulous time. Saw the sights. Rode the Jacobite train. Had great accommodations at the Skye Inn where the food was surprisingly excellent. Highly recommend this tour. Especially with Amber 😍

This was the best part of our vacation. We got 3 very good tourguides; Dusty, Torva and Chris who where the best storytellers we could ever wish for. Loved the way they told all the history, myths and more. The atmosphere with the group was great and we got to see the best sights that were great for photo's. Definitely recommend this tour to everyone.

The beauty of the Highlands and in particular the Isle of Skye was incredible, castles, waterfalls and rugged mountains. But our trip was very much enhanced by our three tremendous guides: Dusty, Chris, and Torva, the stories were very much part of the experience : history, natural features, war stories and occasional inspired nonsense, with loads of information and humour!
A wonderful experience !
