THE JOURNEY
We start our day in Porto, heading to Douro Valley in a very comfortable Mercedes Van driving through spectacular roads. We want to let you immerse in breathtaking views in a Unesco World Heritage Site. It's time for a stop in a hidden viewpoint where you will have a great opportunity to take wonderful pictures.
THE WINE AND SOMETHING MORE
We will visit a stunning old winery where you will discover more about viticulture, winemaking and wine aging. You will learn about technical specifications of Douro Wines and their Terroir. Tasting their wines is embracing the whole region by feeling its aromas, flavours and complexity.
NOT JUST WINE
Before lunch, nothing fits better than 1 hour private cruise enjoying the breathtaking views with tasty snacks and drink.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST
We will drive you to another exclusive family-owned winery where we will enjoy a delicious home cooked Portuguese lunch pairing with their wines and then visiting their charming property.

I am not a fan of guided tours, but this small group Douro Valley wine venture may have changed that. Our guide, Rita, was wonderful and exhibited a passion for her country and region providing us with a truly exceptional experience. We had the opportunity to meet small wine producers and learn about their aspirations and challenges.

BL Heritage tours provided us with a seamless experience of the Douro Valley from start to finish. All communications by phone and email were quickly answered and personal. Jose Caramelo greeted us with a smile and more importantly was a good driver and host. The winery hosts were also very gracious and informative and the wineries chosen were picturesque and not crowded. The boat trip is nice touch at the end to see the beauty of the river on a clean and energy efficient boat, with again a very engaging captain. You will not be disappointed by the snacks and lunch as our expectations were exceeded in this category. These guys are professionals. Book the tour.

I had a tour today with Rita. She drove our group of 6 to the Douro Valley. We had a boat tour, a wine tasting, and a lunch with a wine pairing. The day was from 8:30-5:30pm. Rita was awesome at encouraging conversations within the group and giving us information about port wine & the Douro valley. I highly recommend this experience— it’s well worth it. The food was delicious and the views were incredible.

Experience was amazing! Personalized stories and felt like a really authentic and intimate experience. Leonardo took us to local wineries and restaurant for lunch and it felt like we were with a Douro valley family the entire time. Car ride was super comfortable and Leonardo was extremely personable. Highly recommend this company and tour experience!

Carlos was engaging and we really enjoyed our day trip with him. The valley is beautiful and we learned so much at the two family owned wineries that we visited. We had a great day and enjoyed the boat ride too.
