I’m extremely glad that I chose Catherine Lu Tours because:-
1. Our Tour Guide Nancy, was not only fluent in English, but was extremely helpful(she actually paid 380CNY on my behalf first without hesitation when I was still unable to figure out how to pay using Wexinpay and I just met her 5 minutes in!), she was also extremely friendly, knowledgeable of the historical aspects of the tour, easy going and not calculative with her time. We felt that she really went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable & charitable especially when we made a mistake and took a wrong turn and she had to walk a long way to find us which ironically in the first place wasn’t part of the itinerary! She also taught us some tips and tricks in certain areas of the trip to so that we could make the most of our trip as well which we truly appreciate!
We can tell she enjoys her job and truly cares for those in her charge! Hope I get her again next time!
2. Our Driver, Master Li, who was very friendly, helpful as well as pushed his chair so far to the front to the point it was less comfortable for him just so I have more legroom and this was done without my asking. Water was always provided along with charging cables for our phones. Car was also immaculate. There were times he quickly turned back when I left something behind and he did it with a smile. He was also more often than not already there with the door already opened waiting for me. He was also incredibly accommodating when I wanted to be dropped off elsewhere instead of the hotel. His attention to detail in many aspects is admirable.
3. Catherine tours was also extremely helpful with replying to my many messages and made a lot of compromises when I had to reschedule because my flight was delayed. Made very good recommendations for food and activities even though this tour company doesn’t benefit from it.
Also impeccable with my tickets for every venue.
The itinerary in this tour is excellent and usually we don’t enjoy the food on tour companies but we really enjoyed the restaurants they brought us to including a famous dumpling shop that locals eat at which we won’t find without this tour!
They are completely trustworthy and value for money! I truly highly recommend this tour company without whom I might not have as nice a trip! I will definitely be looking them up again when I come with my whole family!

Justin was a great guide he helped us with everything and had a very extended knowledge about China. Also the food was great and very delicious. I recommend this tour a lot.

Highly recommended tour for first timers in China. Well organized and our guide tour Maggie was the best. Very good English (not often in China) and we were able to see the chinese wall without much tourists. We learn all the basics of the chinese culture in these two days. Thank You Maggie.

Lily was our guide for 2 days. She was great!! She speaks Italian very well and knows Chinese history very well but is also up to date on everything and manages to satisfy every request! Trust Catherine to organize your tours in China and you won't regret it!

This tour was really good! We only spent two days in Beijing but were able to see a lot of the beautiful history this city has to offer. Our guide Sonia was extremely knowledgeable and was able to create a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere. I would recommend this tour (and Sonia, the best guide EVER!!!!!!!) to anyone.

I had a perfect 2-day Beijing highlights tour! I’m traveling alone and this tour took perfect care of me and my needs, I felt very well welcome as and taken care out by Angela. She is extremely knowledgeable of all the facts, history, best visiting times and photo hot spots to avoid the large crowds. Couldn’t have wished for a better guide, absolutely happy with this tour :) thank you!

We had an amazing 2 day trip visiting the Panlongshan and Simatai Great Wall. Justin was our guide and he ensured we had the authentic experience we wanted while hiking along the wall or visiting the Gubeikou Water, and later on while visiting the Summer Palace and Tiananmen Square . He also took care of all the arrangements with the hotel checking in and tickets along the way. Our driver was very good and we had a smoke free car, as requested . Both Justin and driver were very welcoming and friendly, very punctual and professional.

There were two wonderful tours with local guide Justin. We would like to thank you for all the experiences we had, from the delicious Chinese cuisine to the beautiful tour of the Forbidden City, full of ancient stories, which allowed us to get closer to the extraordinary Chinese culture. I recommend the Justin guide.

Our tour guide Kathy Zheng is professional and well prepared. Her narration was clear and interesting, we had such a good time going around Beijing with her. We could tell she has so much love for history and her country, and our family learnt so much from her. As for logistics, Kathy had all the tickets prepared which made entry to tourist attractions very smooth. We travelled with two elderly and a child. Kathy was thoughtful, and even managed to arrange for a wheelchair rental as my father had difficulties walking long distances during our tour to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. We really appreciate Kathy and recommend the tour to anyone who wants to visit the sites on the itinerary. The lunch places she brought us too were very local and we liked it very much. She even recommended other eateries near our hotels for us to try. Also thanks to Liu shifu and Lu shifu, they drove safely and were always punctual and considerate. Their vehicles were in good condition, very clean and well maintained. I would hire them again when I visit Beijing again in the future. Thanks Kathy and team!
