It is a great luxury to visit the Alhambra with an official guide who, in addition to other languages, speaks classical Arabic and is able to translate all the mural inscriptions and Arabic calligraphy that fills the walls of the Alhambra and make you feel the monument and transport you to the time of the sultans of the last Muslim kingdom on the Iberian Peninsula.

The guide was extremely kind and very knowledgeable, but his English was almost unintelligible. He was a delightful guide but should not be doing tours in English.

I forgot to buy tickets and this was the only way to get them. Rabi was so great as guide and the experience so good that I am happy I forgot to buy them. Yes it is expensive, but my mum is 76 so it is hard for her to walk in tours and the private tour followed her pace and Rabi helped us find shortcuts without stairs. He also added very valuable information and when we asked for something else he happily explained. Very knowledgeable. We had the tour in spanish and we had no problem understanding his accent. Highly recomend it. I

Amazing way to see the stunning Alhambra and Generalife. Auxi was brilliant. She knew just when to speed up and slow down so we didn't get the feeling we were in the hordes.

If you are up for an overpriced tour that starts with you turning up to be informed by the tour guide that your youngest children don’t have tickets (and may have to wait for you in a public area while you do the tour), and then proceed to spend the first hour of that tour begging to get them in at the entry door, sourcing tickets, getting those children tickets for 1 hour after your group entry tickets are booked for; well then this is the tour for you!
Talk about making this an experience; followed by a rushed tour though one of the most amazing places on earth! To top it off we had to run from Alhambra to the summer palace so that we could get into the garden before they closed the doors.
This tour was unfortunately not only overpriced and badly organised, but put a damper on what was meant to be an unforgettable experience of a lifetime! Did we do everything that we were meant to or see all that we were meant to see? We will never know unless we go again.
When we approached the tour operator, they flat out refused to take any responsibility or compensate us for the experience! Would we have cancelled if we were given the opportunity to do so, I am not sure; having said that it would have been the decent thing to do in contacting us to let us know that they confirmed a trip which they didn’t have tickets for…..
Our recommendation to you curious traveller is to go somewhere else for you Alhambra Palace experience as it is amazing and yet, this is NOT the tour company to do it with!

Our guide, Rabbi, was very knowledgeable but his heavy accent made his English hard to understand and also difficult to ask questions of him. He would likely be much better for a Spanish or French speaking group. He also spent too much time discussing the Islamic background and meanings of things and not enough on the history of the Alhambra both during Islamic and Catholic control of Granada. Not worth the cost. Our guide in Cordova was much better and less expensive.

My dear clients reported that their guide Fatmi was amazing and made their entire tour so wonderful. They opted for the private tour and really wanted to have in-depth learning and Fatmi was so excited to oblige. On just about the busiest day of the year, Fatmi and Rabi, along with an assist from a colleague and friend, made this tour the highlight of my clients' 48th Anniversary Trip.

I asked for my tour to be provided in English and unfortunately my tour guide was difficult to understand. He had difficulty pronouncing words and has a limited vocabulary. I do not question his knowledge, only his fluency in communicating in English. The tour was cut short by 30 minutes and an important part of the tour was left out. When I tried to ask to the area I wanted to see that was missed, again communication was a challenging. It was also difficult to communicate about my taxi driver pick up. All in all, I did not receive a quality tour.

Lenka knew how to bring this fascinating place to life by guiding us nicely through the gardens and palaces, by translating the old inscriptions and by sharing with us her profound knowledge about the Alhambra‘s history. Private tour is the way to go visit the Alhambra. Our guide Alex was wonderful and let us have enough time to explore. He even took pictures of us. The Alhambra is magnificent!
