We loved the drive through Sacred Valley, and the stops facilitated by FlyCusco. We would not have stopped at the salt mines on our own, but it ended up being an interesting stop. Machu Picchu was great, and the whole tour was well put together from start to finish!

As advertised, this is a two-day trip to see an Alpaca farm, two historic Inca sites, views of the Sacred Valley, a stop at a local jewelry shop to explain local craftsmanship, and a very nice lunch along the way, all with a friendly and helpful guide. Then, you are left at the train station (with tickets of course) to go to Agua Calientes (Machu Picchu) where an agent takes you to your hotel, and the guide meets you in the morning to take you on the bus to Machu Picchu for the guided tour, then a train ride back (guide, train, bus, MP tickets all included). This includes the ground transportation to and from Cusco (a two-hour trip if no stops). You have some extra time in Agua Calientes after the Machu Picchu tour and the evening before after arriving on the train. Agua Calientes is a tourist town, full of bars, restaurants, and craft/souvenir shops, amusing with narrow streets lined with shops all begging for your attention, but not an historic site.

Machu Piccha speaks for itself. Entering Agua Calientes on the train is scenic. Here, I am just reviewing the bundled tour. The logistics, guide, and transport were all good. The big advantage here is getting this all bundled so you don't miss a logistical detail.

The minor negatives: only one lunch is included for food (the breakfast is just the hotel included breakfast). The hotel was close to the train station, clean, modern, but just average overall. The price is significant relative to other options. You have to want to see the other sights in the Sacred Valley and enjoy a night in Agua Calientes. There are two guides and a driver to tip.

A bigger negative: a full-sized bag on the train costs $100 in luggage fees and this is not made clear in the ad. So, you need to pay the extra $100 or find somewhere to store your bag in Cusco and travel with only a roller bag or backpack. The tour company might hold your bag for you.

This was a very well executed 2 day tour! We were greeted by our tour guide Effie who spoke very good English & our driver I believe his name was Marty. Effie did a amazing job explaining all the sites/history of all the amazing stops on the way… we were taken to a amazing buffet lunch escorted all the way to the train station & picked up from the train station to the hotel in Machu Picchu. Our tour guide Miguel picked us up from our hotel the next day & took us up to Macchu Picchu which was simply breathtaking he was very knowledgeable & educated us on how it was built & gave us all the ins & outs of Macchu Picchu he was such a great tour guide.

Usually I avoid using packed tours at all. But as we did not plan our trip in advance and it was a bit tricky I decided to try this one. And the experience was wonderful.
1. Very good organization: Someone met and supported us on every part of the journey. We never waited or felt along. We had a clear printed schedule and our first guide explained everything to us.
2. Best guides: Our first guide Efrain was carrying, knowledgeable and patient. He told us so much about Inka, Perú, region of Cusco and answered dozens of questions! He really loves his motherland and cares about people. Our second guide Alex had a very interesting background and shared many details about Andean culture and traditions. It was just great.
3. Food: On our first day we had lunch in a buffet restaurant. I suffered from an altitude sickness and could not just eat anything. But food there was clean, healthy and tasty. So I easily found options and even felt better after.
4. Accommodation: in Aguas Calientes we stayed in 3* hotel that focuses on Machu Picchu tourists. It was very convenient as they started serving breakfast at 5am. It was clean and had everything required - comfortable bed, air conditioning/heater and a good view on Andes.

Overall I want to thank Flu Cusco and our best guides for this unforgettable experience.

Our tour guides Efren & Wilma were informative & clearly love their work. Even better was how well FlyCusco took care of each step from meeting us at our hotel the night before to making sure we understood the arrangements for pick-up/drop-off, transportation, & Machu Picchu tickets. The private tour was especially appreciated. Can not recommend highly enough!

Taking this tour was the highlight of our entire trip to Perú. As first-timers to South America who speak very little Spanish, we were in great hands from start to finish on this Fly Cusco experience.

From a pre-departure briefing at our hotel the night before we embarked, to our tickets for each mode of transportation/park/activity being stapled in chronological order, to a bilingual guide, to private escorts waiting to pick us up and drop us off at our hotels, we did not have to stress during a single moment of the trip.

The Sacred Valley is stunning and the ascent up to Machu Picchu was surreal. What made the trip truly lovely, however, was our tour guide, Efrain. He has been doing this for over 20 years and his passion for the Cusco region and it’s history is absolutely contagious. We learned so many fascinating and fun bits of knowledge from his narration throughout the tour. Needless to say he kept us all engaged while simultaneously ensuring we stayed on schedule and making everyone in the group feel included.

If I ever come back to Cusco, I would do this tour (again) in a heartbeat!
