Absolute waste of time and money. We left half an hour late and the lost time was not made up to us.

The glass blowing demonstration lasted 10 minutes maximum, before being ushered to spend copious amounts of time in the glass blowers shop being pushed to buy things. The glass blowing also wasn’t in English as promised with the booking.

Our guide said that it was better for us to roam around instead of her giving us a tour, which is not what I booked for.

Would be better off catching a vaporetto to Murano and wandering the gift shops at your leisure which will save you quite a bit of money!

A great show. Good for all ages. it was fascinating to watch the master glass blower create a horse in such a short amount of time.

First off, and very important, the directions for the meeting place to start the tour were specific so it was easy to find. The boat ride over was nice and full of information. The glass factory that you tour has nice glass and good quality. When you first show up you are taken into the glass room where the artisans are busy heating and blowing glass. You will sit in stands, similar to bleachers, and watch. Afterwards, you are given time to shop at that factory and then will have time to go walk and explore Murano and see other glass stores/operations. Our guide was very engaging and informative, and I wish I could remember her name because she was awesome. She grew up in Venice and her father had his own glass blowing shop at one time.

Claudia our guide was terrific. She had the added credibility of being from Venice and having a father and grandfather who owned a glass blowing factory.

The island of Murano is beautiful and I can recommend visiting it but it is not necessary to book an excursion for it, since you can visit it by taking the vaporetto, which is a very good and accessible public transport, with many schedules. In our case, the "guide" also contributed absolutely nothing to the trip to the island. He simply accompanied us to the taxi that took us to the island and then left us at the glass factory without any explanation. If we had done it on our own it would have been the same but much cheaper.

The tour was disappointing. Although it was a small group, we couldn't hear much of what the tour leader said. It would have been better if she (Claudia) had a microphone and we had been provided with ear buds. The worst part was that when we arrived at the factory, we were ushered in to a demonstration in English that was almost over. A Portuguese speaking group then entered, and we sat through a demo in Portuguese. Then our English speaking guide tried to tell us that we were finished, but we insisted that we had paid for a tour in English, so he reluctantly agreed to provide it. Would not recommend this tour.

Was really just a sales pitch to get visitors to buy glass. The most interesting part of the experience, the actual glass blowing demo was only a few brief minutes. Definitely could have skipped this one. The tour guide was super nice and knowledgeable so kudos to her but overall a waste of money.

Since we had to wait 45 minutes to get the water taxi situation straightened out, I couldn't give a five-star rating. Our guide, however, was really great. Very informative, easy to understand and flexible when it came to what we wanted to do on our tour. He made the walking part of the tour very easy. We had seven in our group so it was small. Since we had to wait so long at the beginning, he added that time on at the end. Watching the glassblower in action was very interesting and it showed he was very skilled in the art. It is a touristy area so our guide gave us time to shop.

Marco was excellent. Everything was set up and ready to go when we arrived. He was very accommodating and patient as we moved thru the wines.
We ended up shipping a dozen bottles home. ~~Debbie Talaska and Chelsea ( mother and daughter)
