Cave Tubing with Lunch

Make sure you get out of the port to find your people there - this was an amazing experience, our guides were excellent and going inside those caves felt like seen a National Geographic documentary in person- lunch was great and it was overall a great experience

The tour guide, Jimmy Cortez, is very professional, knowledgeable, and humorous. We had a wonderful time through the river inside the cave, not just a memorable ride but insightful info about the beautiful formation of nature.

An amazing day. Tour guides were easy to find and well organized. Ride to caves was about 45 minutes. The hike into the jungle was easy and beautiful. This from two 60+ individuals with knee issues.
The cave tubing was also easy but amazing. Fresh chicken tamales after the ride were much enjoyed by all.
A cool day in the jungle and in the caves were perfect in hot Belize.

Well let's begin by saying that Kenton our guide goes over and beyond to ensure that your cave tubbing experience is fantastic!! The walk through the forest was so informative. Kenton shared detailed information about each tree and thier healing properties!! The journey was a bit challenging for me. But Kenton did not rush, he assisted me and in some cases physically had to support me during the journey. At one point I didn't think I would make it to the tub launching site. Kenton is an excellent person and guide!! Once in the caves, My mind was completely blown by the beauty I experienced. There is an actual flowing stream of fresh water that is purified coming off the rough. I was so excited when Kenton took the time making sure we each got to drink from the this refreshing stream of water. It was by far the best tour ever!! Thank you 5star.com and Thank you Kenton for this wonderful experience 💚 Kenton served us the best tamales I've ever had in my life for lunch with a nice cold bottle of water, after we finished tubbing.💚

Our 2 guides from 5star Daejon and Manuelito handled everything and made the day go very smooth. The caves are really interesting and don't go on other tours to see the caves sure you pick 5star because they give you a full tour. This experience was my wife's favorite of all time. Tubing down the river was SO relaxing! If you're on the cruise ship like us make sure you email them to confirm time for pickup.

The actual caves were really beautiful. Disappointed on the experience. The walk to caves 45 minutes very rocky so water shoes don’t work well. The group was 14 instead of 8 couldn’t hear guide in the back. So many groups at one time it was hard to enjoy. You never get off tube to look a round. Not at all as described in the details. The ride to was weird we were in van had to go to airport and wait for someone when they did show after 10 minutes we slowly drove to caves then they called and he had to go back so we had to pull over and wait for another van so he could go back. So now our time becomes rushed to get to excursion. You have to pay someone 5.00 each way to carry your tube down. The tubes are not at the river. Lunch is a very delicious tamale and water served at a picnic table. Very rushed so you can make it back to ship.

Aaron was an excellent tour guide and the experience was beautiful! It was nice to be picked up at my bed and breakfast and dropped conveniently at the airport. Lunch was delicious too!

We booked this tour as our shore excursion while on a cruise with a stop in Belize City

- met driver right outside the cruise port
- Jimmy was our driver and main guide. He was good with good commentary during the drive inland
- Transportation was multi-passenger van. There was about 12 of us on the trip. The van was air conditioned and pleasant on the way there, but they chose have the windows rolled down on the way back which made for a very hot and unpleasant ride for those towards the back of the van
- Excursion takes place in a nature park which has some shops and vendors at the beginning. You begin and end the tour at the same point. We left our belongings in the van.
- after getting our gear, we hiked about 30 minutes thought a wide forest trail to get upriver. This was actually quite pleasant and a nice temperature. Jimmy gave commentary about the local plants and wildlife as we went, stopping a few times to show things
- we crossed the river 3 times on the walk. Each time provided a brief chance to jump in the water and cool off which was nice
- when arriving at the destination, tubes are connected together and int the river/caves we go! We just sit their while the guides either swim or pull us along.
- Saw a boa constrictor, bats and lots of birds
- caves were cool and really pleasant
- last part of the "float" was after the caves and in the open river. We had the option to get out and swim the last 100 yards or so and that was fun as it was 10 x hotter as soon as you leave the caves and are in the direct sun

- ended back at the park with chicken tamales and water. Of the 4 people in our group, only 1 enjoyed the tamale lunch.
- drove us back to the cruise port

This was hands down the best excursion I have taken across all my cruises. The team was extremely nice and our tour guide Kenton made the trip so much more fun. The car ride to the site is a bit long but Kenton made it worth it. The drive is very pretty and Kenton told us all about Belize culture, history, and surroundings while slipping in a few jokes that made the ride fly by. When you arrive at the park make sure to grab some rum in a pineapple from the local stand it was self service and delicious! Don’t let the walk to the mouth of the cave deter you if you are one that enjoys nature you will thoroughly enjoy this experience. The actual river tubing itself was amazing and a must see if you’re planning on visiting. The lunch provided after floating the river for my group was Belizean tamales. If you are like me and used to Tex mex tamales this was a game changer and a must try. Overall this was a great excursion and me and my group will definitely return and try some of the other offerings they have to see more of Belize! Thank you Kenton for making our trip unforgettable!
