campervan rentals Victoria Falls

Located in the province of Matabeleland North, Victoria Falls proudly sits on the bank of the Zambezi River's southern bank. The town itself lays at the western end of the falls. The population of Victoria Falls is around 18,000, yet it is a very rural and laid back town, and it is not uncommon to see the native monkeys ambling across the streets of the town.

Initially settled in 1901, it was being surveyed for its suitability as a site for the use of hydroelectric power, utilising the power of the falls.

To the south east, Victoria Falls connects both Hwange which is about 109 kilometres away, and Bulawayo which is approximately 440 kilometres away. Trains can also be taken from the township to Hwange and Bulawayo respectively.
