Our tour guide was Oscar. He was great. He gave us some Mayan history on our way and while we were at Chichen Itza. He took pictures for us too. We got to wander around on our own for as long as we wanted. He ordered his recommendations for us at the restaurant that we wouldn't have tried otherwise.
I would highly recommend doing the 6:30 pickup if that is an option. We did and there were just a few people that got in before us. We got some pics right away. It wasn't long before it was full of other tourists and street vendors.
The cenote was great. It even had a rope swing to jump into the water. Plus, since we were ahead of the other tours, there were just a few other people.
I would highly recommend.

We spent an excellent day with our guide! He was very knowledgeable of the sights and the history/archaeology aspect of Chcihen Itza. We also had a great lunch in Valladolid and say the historic downtown center. The centoe was also very fun to visit and was a nice refresher after some time walking in the heat. I would definitely recommend this tour to my family and friends.

My family of 5 (all adults) really enjoyed this tour. The guide suggested we leave early (6:30 a.m) which was a great idea because Chichen Itza gets really busy and hot. The tour was interesting and not tooling. The cenote afterwards was really fun, and the lunch was excellent. Not greasy. Nice quiet restaurant in a smaller town. We were back at home by mid afternoon.

Our family is soooo glad that we booked with My Quest rather than another company. We’ve done a variety of different tours in the past whether with big or small groups and we decided to treat ourselves to a fully private experience.

I cannot say enough positive things about our amazing guide Juan!!! When I contacted My Quest, I mentioned that my little girl is interested in becoming an archaeologist. My Quest really outdid themselves and hired Juan who is a retired archaeologist. All day Juan gave us interesting information about the sights that we saw and about Mexico generally. We learned far more detailed information than I would have ever expected from a tour. Because he is Mayan himself, it was so interesting to hear about modern lives of Mayan people. For my kids, the highlight was on our drive back when Juan showed them some pieces from his own collection. It was a huge treat to hear the stories of projects that he had worked on. My little one was quite quiet that day but we’ve been hearing lots from her now that we are home and she absorbed everything.

The benefit of the private experience is that we were able to work with the company to come up with an experience we would love. Although there are itineraries on their website, they are fully customizable. We knew we didn’t want to go to a cenote but instead wanted to spend time in a local market, so we were able to go to Valadolid market for part of the day.

The company was aware that Chichen Itza was going to be extremely busy the day we went, so they contacted me and suggested going very early. The price included using the toll highway too so we got there before the crowds. Our guide was able to help us avoid lines. We were able to get photos with no other people in them! As we left, we saw lines that would have been hours long and we had walked right in. Pretty sweet.

This company takes you to excellent local restaurants for lunch. We had a super high quality meal.

The vehicle that we drove in looked brand new and was immaculately clean. There was a cooler with water for us to use throughout the day.

So the experience was amazing and I would highly recommend this company.

This tour was everything we'd hoped for and more. To start, we booked a private tour because one of my daughters dislocated her kneecap a week before the trip and was using a cane. Our guide was very accommodating to her needs and speed. She was able to manage to do everything listed. The company (Gabbi) was great about communicating regarding pickup place and time and shifting it based on our location within the resort. Our guide, Juan, was fantastic. He is a former archaeologist and professor of Mayan descent who is now working on tours. We learned so much about Chichen Itza, Mayan culture, and local archaeology. He got super detailed with us adults (who were nerding out hard) about the different structures on the site, and was great about simplifying things for my three kids (15, 12, & 8). Leaving at 6:30am as they suggested was a great call because we were able to take pictures of the pyramid without too many people around. By the time we were leaving the tour buses were arriving and it definitely was getting crowded. Juan ordered us lunch at a local restaurant in Valladolid to share family style and everything was delicious. After lunch, we went to the cenote at Oxman. It was a lot of stairs down but once we got in, it was bliss! Such an amazing day full of memories I hope my kids cherish. Being able to move on our own timeline was a huge bonus and we never felt rushed. Highly recommend!

An amazing day visiting a world wonder! Traveling with our 4 boys age 11-19 yrs old usually means activities are the favorite of some and not of others. Everyone enjoyed Chichén Itzá and the history that Johny brought to the experience, but the Oxmán cenote stop was the surprise highlight of our entire trip for all the kids! A rope swing into a blue hole. They could have stayed for days. Lunch in Valladolid was delicious (get the local jugo). On the drive back home Johy was our DJ sharing favorite music styles and artists at our request.

We had Manuel as our private tour guide for Chichén Itzá and Cenote swim. He was awesome! Really friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell he enjoys what he does! I would highly recommend this company and if you can have Manuel as your guide even better!

I'm so happy we paid for a private tour. Abraham was an excellent, knowledgeable guide. Arriving early with a private guide saved so much time and hassle. Visiting the ruins and a cenote was the highlight of our vacation ✨️

Our tour guide, Heber, was fantastic! He’s extremely knowledgeable about the area and history. We got to experience Chichen Itza via the private tour and was worth every penny. Next stop was a near by cenote - super cool!! Water was perfect and scenery was amazing. We then had lunch at Paladar De Cura. Heber selected a variety of Mayan dishes for us to try and all were 10/10!! Seriously the best tour and we had such a wonderful time.
