Pickup and return to the hotel was perfect. Guide was on time and very knowledgeable. Having her total attention and being able to move around as desired or dwell longer in certain rooms was a real plus. Well worth the money.

My family and I opted for a private tour of Versailles, choosing a package that was on the pricier side compared to similar tours. Our guide, Chris, while knowledgeable about Versailles, seemed inclined to do the bare minimum unless prompted for more, such as visiting the gardens or the coronation room. Unfortunately, he did not suggest exploring the Gallery of Great Battles, which might have enriched our experience. Overall, the tour felt overpriced for the value received, leading to the conclusion that our visit to Versailles could have been significantly more rewarding.

Our tour Guide Claudio was amazing, speaking Spanish was a plus, he was very knowledgeable and on top of everything regarding the tour, timing was perfect to see the most important parts

This was an amazing experience for us and far exceeded our expectations. I booked a private tour thinking this was a small group, but was surprised that we had a dedicated guide for just us. ✅✅✅
Our guide, Zara, was very friendly and as soon as we hopped into her Tesla, she began her narration. This was the beginning of a very detailed and comprehensive discussion on the general areas of Paris, the reason for its design and detailed information on sights along the way. Great context since neither of us have been to Paris before.
We were surprised at how close Versailles was to Paris (we stayed right near the Eiffel). Without traffic, it would have been 10-15 minutes, but as you will discover, Paris makes Los Angeles traffic seem like nothing.
Versailles itself was beyond impressive. Forget what you’ve seen or read about, the size, grandeur, near pristine conditions of the buildings and grounds will blow your perceptions out of the water.
Zara recommended stating with the gardens (be sure to get the early entrance options as the later the day goes on, the more massive the crowds get), and these were incredible. Hard to describe the expansiveness. It’s as far as you can see. Present acreage or somewhere around 2300, but in its heyday, Versailles covered 20,000 acres.
Once inside, the most impressive for us was Marie Antoinette’s room. She was a rebel and considering how she defied traditions, you can’t help but hold high regard and respect for her bravery.
Versailles only disappointment was, after 2-3 hours, the tour was over. You could spend hours in each room.
Sadly, we felt that we didn’t see enough (we saw everything the public is allowed to see) and we are already planning our return.
I recommend you come when the gardens are
In full bloom (April/May/June) but expect huge crowds. Stay calm and expect to be pushed and shoved as some cultures just do that. Crowds are not our cup of tea, but we had to tolerate. The pay off was worth it in the end.

Versailles is indescribable!!!! It was very full but our tour guide managed to keep our group together and explain. He also found good photo spots for us!!!
