The rides are still very fun, with the Mummy and Escape from Gringots coasters being the best. The new Minions ride is just as bumpy as the Jimmy Neutron ride it replaced and not that fun. The Simpson’s ride technology has become outdated.

Having “express passes” is a must.

The biggest problem is finding coffee: who wants to stand in line behind 50 people waiting to give their fancy order? Just provide more vendors with bottled coffee. Simple - right?

First time back since COVID - and no children in tow this time. March spring break season and there were lots of people. I'm guessing that's always the case. Universal manages the lines pretty well - things to watch as you wait, etc - but crowds and waiting make me tired.... We are in our 70's and completed the application process to get electric scooters. Without these we couldn't have done it. Even so, the walk from parking to the scooter rental is very far. Universal does a great job of recreating movie environments such as Diagon Alley. My general impression was that the park had become much more commercialized. - You pay a high admission & then they try to sell you over priced tchotchkes at every turn. I'd only go back again with kids....

We visited with our 8 year old daughter. We had a park-to-park ticket and visited Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.
There is plenty to do to keep you fully occupied. Food.and drink options are a bit pricey, but food quality is better than the Disney park.
Lots of fun rides and experiences make for a memorable family vacation. Here's a list of recommendations: Harry Potter parks, Simpsons, Suessland, Leaky Cauldron restaurant, Häagen-Dazs Daaz ice cream, Liuigi's cafe,.Creole.Music band, Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster, The Mummy Coaster, Hogwarts Coaster, Mardigras Parade and experiences, Men in Black ride.
The building architecture and attention to detail create some great experiences.
Our only negative experience was the lack of maps and useful signs. The App is not the best but is what you must use to navigate the park. This all adds up to time wasted and frustration while at the park.
The interactive wands do not work consistently in Harry Potter World.
The staff is good but not as consistent in top notch service as what you experience at Disney.
We plan to visit again.

If you're looking for a theme park that can cater to crowds that are a big above Disney's age range, Universal is for you. Wide variety of rides and attractions, plenty of shows and lots of places to eat.

DO NOT USE THEIR AIRPORT SHUTTLE PROVIDED BY UNIVERSAL. It was a nightmare experience. Not only did 5 shuttles pass refusing to take us to the airport because they were full. I was told to purchase an uber and told i would be refunded. It has been a nightmare tracking my refund down. Even after an email confirmation that they would refund me and it would take 2-3 weeks for it to process. I have waited and I have still not recieve my money. I have spend hours on the phone. Save your time and money and take an UBER.

Having been to Universal many times but not during Mardi Gras we decided to make a girls trip for February 2024.
We started our day with a wonderful breakfast at the TODAY Cafe.
Having been before we had the luxury of taking our time and checking out all of the food booths deciding what we would eat and drink throughout the day. Each booth has Carnaval themed food and drinks from around the world. To be honest we could have picked to eat as any of them as they all looked good.
We ended up having Chilaquiles Verdes from Mexico, Beignets, Fried Green Po'boy from New Orleans, Papitas Bravas, Ensalada De Pulpo from Spain. Not to mention some yummy cocktails. Everything was fresh, hot and very tasty!
You could tell a lot of thought had gone into making the food and drinks authentic and it delivered. This was by far the best food I've eaten at any theme park.
As ever every interaction we had with any of the Universal staff was polite, positive and enhanced the overall experience.
I have to give special mention to the 2 lovely ladies at the Merch kiosk in front of Rip Ride RockIt where we bought our masks. Also the amazing, talented and joyful performers in the parade. They rounded off another memorable day and brought all the color, energy and vibrancy that is Carnaval!

I do not know why people do not rate Universal Studios Orlando the best. My family has been to Disney, we have been to Hershey, and to many Busch theme parks. We keep coming back to Universal Studios because it is in our opinion the best. The attractions are outstanding engineered I do not believe that they could be better. All the employees treat guests as if they are very glad to see you. An employee that likes the job they are doing lets it show in the way they treat people. This is the big difference in Universal Studios and IOA and this makes the day very much exciting to just be there and enjoying the adventure. One thing to remember go when the crowds are not as huge as in the peak times. Very much the thing to do. My wife and I were surprised at the number of school age children. I guess the thing is to visit in the winter when parks are not over crowded and the temperatures are reasonable. We had nice sunny days and temperatures in the eighties at the very end of February. I added a few Mardi Gras Photos. I highly recommend going to the parade.

Overall really bad experience. We came here after three A+ days at Disney. I’d give universal a solid D. Waste of money. Two main rides were broken down off and on during the visit. Express pass way overpriced and if you have young kids the pass only covers a limited amount rides. Stopped to talk to “guest services” to be told just be told to pound salt.

Staff members were pretty rude compared to Disney. One refused to give our son a straw for his butterbeer citing that it will “ruin it”. (Wtf?)

I got the impression they oversell tickets to try and sell express passes to a “captive audience”. Those stuck in a two hour velocicoaster line to only have it break down. We couldn’t wait to get out of the park.

5th time here and I’m already thinking about my 6th. Amazing parks! We came here to celebrate my wife’s birthday and it was perfect. Busy but not overwhelming. Great rides, great food and great experiences. Thanks again Universal!
