We will enjoy a visit to Delphi, novel of the world and the religious sites of Meteora. Also, we will pass by Thermopylae, where the 300 Spartans fought and the breathtaking Arachova.

We had a blast, our driver was so fun, knowledgeable and funny. We saw some of the most incredible sights and experienced the monasteries from afar and from within, roamed the site at Delphi and enjoyed the museum. All in all it was a five star experience.

This tour is a must do if you are visiting Greece. All 3 sights are very rich in history and have unforgettable views. The duration of this tour is very lengthy, so be mentally and physically prepared if you decide to book this tour. We rode in a very comfortable Mercedes sedan which made the long drives pleasant. Our driver, George Ilios was so friendly and easy to talk to. He is very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend him as your driver. The included dinner at the end of the day was very delicious. I give this tour a 5 star rating.

Paddy was the best tour guide. He was on time, very professional and was a great source of information! He made our long trip go by fast. Meteora was breathtaking. I am glad we decided to take the day long tour. It was worth it! Delphi was very interesting too! Thermopylae was exciting to see. The dinner at a local restaurant was amazing - fresh seafood and very hospitable servers

The places you get to see are memorable and Dimos made it possible all in one day. I talked to other tour guides before booking this particular experience, and they refused to do all 3 places in one day. It is a long day, but it’s so worth it. The best value for the money. And with Dimos as a tour guide, you get to learn the history and the stories behind them. Meteora is magical. Delphi is beautiful and Thermopylae is majestic. I just want to mention that Dimos became my contact person for any transfer/taxi I need while in Athens.

We just wanted to say what a wonderful trip we had with Sebastian and Tanya from Theodore’s Travel through Viator. A 500 mile round trip to Delphi, Thermopylae and Meteroa was a real pleasure. Sebastian was punctual, polite, very knowledgeable, and the drive was smooth and swift. Tanya was also a delight and a real asset to your company.

The tour allowed us to see two must-see sites-- Meteora and Delphi--in one day (albiet a long day). Dallas, our driver, was very knowledgable and took great care of us. The meal at the end was very good and Dallas made sure the vegetarians in our group had lots of options. I highly recommend this tour!

We would highly recommend this trip! Our guide, George Ilios (aka Captain George!) was so very knowledgeable, friendly and just fun! He took us to some incredible places and was so kind stopping for photos and beautiful spots. George's knowledge made the trip so much more enjoyable! We had a beautiful time. It was my favorite part of our whole trip. The monasteries at Meteora were breathtaking. And the meal at the end---so delicious!! Thank you, George, for making this a truly magical day for all of us!!!

Our guided tour of the iconic Greek sites of Delphi, Meteora, and Thermopylae was nothing short of amazing, thanks to a well-orchestrated experience. This car journey wasn’t just about getting from Point A to Point B; it was a deep dive into Greece’s rich history. Dimos, our primary driver and guide, was a ball of fun and energy and very knowledgeable about Greek history, especially the places we visited. His passion for escorting us to these incredible sites really showed through and made the very long day a complete delight. Manos, a guide-in-training shadowing Dimos for the day, accompanied us and positively contributed to the adventure.
The day kicked off at 6a on a high note with a brief stop at a street café to pick up some delicious Greek pastries (both savory and sweet) for the road. Dimos’ storytelling made the long drives feel like short, exciting hops between epochs. His insights into the historical significance of the places we visited turned our journey into an animated, live documentary, where every ruin and vista came vividly to life.
Manos, working in tandem with Dimos, ensured our comfort and enjoyment throughout, making the whole experience feel more like a road trip with friends. The tour was thoughtfully paced, with plenty of bathroom breaks and selfie ops against breathtaking landscapes.
Opting to explore the ruins at Delphi rather than the museum allowed us more freedom to immerse ourselves in the ancient world. Although many places took credit cards/tap-to-pay, we wish we’d brought more cash instead to contribute more to the local communities.
If you like local goodies, there’s the nicest farmer selling sweets, where we stopped briefly at the hot springs in Thermopylae before visiting the historical site. Although our primary interest was initially Thermopylae, Meteora turned out to be an unexpected gem because of its incredible views. The actual battle site of Thermopylae was simple but gave us goosebumps by connecting us to the past in a very real way.
The entire excursion was memorable from start to finish - there was not one dull moment! We really appreciate Dimos’ and Manos’ genuineness in making it so memorable. They took care of the most minute details, allowing us to enjoy our time and fully engage with the history and beauty around us.
Our finale was a feast at the local Greek restaurant run by the travel agency owner’s retired dad. He was the sweetest of hosts and made us feel so welcome. We plan to return to Greece for an extended stay and would definitely engage their hospitality again.
For anyone eager to explore Greece’s historical sites in-depth, this tour offers the perfect mix of information, relaxation, and authentic connections to the places, their stories, and people.
