The tour is advertised as having plans in place to see Changing of the Guard but the tour guide was unaware of planned closures for the marathon and hadn’t planned to be able to see it. We missed the primary focus of the tour.

The museum is very interesting, the Egypt room has mummies and sarcophagi, admission is free, it has a very complete souvenir shop, the Japan room has some very old and beautiful works of art, I recommend it

My family only had a few hours to see the British Musuem, so we hired a private guide. The guide we were supposed to be assigned didn't show, so we were quickly adopted by Matilda, a wonderfully knowledgeable and energetic guide who we shared with another couple. What was great about the tour was that we saw objects that we might otherwise have walked past not realizing the fascinating history they told. We also hit the highlights, of course, most notably the Rosetta Stone - which Matilda had interesting information not written on the museum's signs. I think we saw more with a guide than we would have on our own, and we certainly learned a lot more as well. It was a wonderful experience, and I would recommend this tour!
