We had a pretty boring experience, although the plantation tour was quite interesting. The swamp boat ride was a waste of time. I think the boat went for about 100 ft and turned back.

Had a great time with our guide, Bob. Kept us entertained on the long bus rides. The plantation was cool. The bayou tour was great but would be much better in spring or summer when more alligators are out.

Dionne was a fanatic guide. Super educated about the area and history.

The Swamp...Only suggestion is to probably not go in the winter as the gators aren't active. We only saw 1 juvenile. They mostly threw out corn for the raccoons... RACCOONS! That said, captain Tom was worth it. That dude is hilarious (& very knowledgeable)

The Plantation... very pretty and some great history. Friendly staff.

Glad we did this

Really enjoyed the swamp boat tour. The captain was hilarious and quite colorful in his narration, as we search for gators, wild pigs, and raccoons. The plantation tour was just OK. Our tour was at 3:15. We stopped at the restaurant for lunch and found out the restaurant closes at three. So we had to Wolf down her food and make it over to the plantation house for our tour and missed the narration on the first room.

Awesome, experience we had! Alton as our tour guide and driver. He was the best! Gave us all the information we needed and was super awesome. Attentive to everyone’s needs. I love the fact that we don’t have to do any driving. We sit on a bus and takes us to both places. The Plantation was more than I expected. The workers there are awesome and informative. The swamp was a great experience where we got to hold a baby alligator. The guide at the swamp was awesome too. I forgot his name but he was young and pleasant. His alligators name was Little Jimmy! I hope to come back and bring family with me and redo this experience.

Dionne did a great job putting the trip in context of her experience of her New Orleans family. She was an excellent tour guide. The swamp tour was particularly memorable—Captain Tom was a real entertainer, making a trip on a cold, cloudy day fun and interesting. He’s the real deal! A good way to see a bit of southern Louisiana outside of the city.
