It was a fun filled day, even though the day started out rainy. The zip lines were fun and they do get you wet. The cave swim was amazing. The water was so clear. The high ropes course was extra, so we didn’t do that but it looked fun. We got there at 9 and stayed until 5, but we got bored by 3. Overall, a must do if you come to Punta Cana. It’s about an hour drive from the resorts.

We went as a family of 4 and enjoyed the park. It is best to start at the park (around 9-9:30 am). Upon arrival, you have to wait in a line for signing forms and check-in. The reception area has a gift shot and information counter. To the right you have restrooms and lockers. Although lockers are free, they charge $5 for locks. Since you will get wet on the zip lines, its best to wear swim/quick dry wear and water shoes (unless you dont mind walking in wet sneakers all day). Leave all other belongings in locker as no loose items are allowed on zip lines. Near the entrance, there is a small area for iguna land, monkey island and reptile land, which you can cover later in the day.

To the left, there is entrance to zip lines. For us this was our main attraction. You have to do all 5 as it is a one way course. All have splashing water fountains towards the landing, so you start getting wet. The last one ends in shallow water and is about 3-4 min walk from the entrance to first zip line. Next you have to get a life jackets (free) for a hammock zip ride that drags you through water and another line with a free drop in a pool (Saltos Azules). There is another shallow pool and a water cave with artificial waterfall, which is great to just chill! Remember, the zip lines close between 12-2pm.

We did these activities, went to the locker, dried ourselves, changed clothes and shoes, and had lunch at the restaurant near the entrance. The food was good and reasonably priced. There is plenty of covered space and the service was excellent. For rest of the afternoon, we hiked to the crystal clear blue water cave (Hoyo Azul) and a rope adventure. Rope adventure was more trickier than I thought, so we just did couple of challenges and left. Water cave was a bit crowded. Here you can jump into the water and swim. You can complete these activities by 3-4 pm. Then we got back to the entrance, where there are couple of snack bars and a coffee shop. You can check-out the gift store and see pictures taken by the park staff throughout the activities. The pictures are for $100 and you get a link where you can download them. If you want one picture, it is $20. The park closet at 5 pm.

Overall it was a day full of fun and adventure. Just remember to dress according the activities. Be prepared for lot of walking (12K+ steps). The entire park staff was very helpful and polite.

Animals are kept in VERY SMALL spaces, I felt really bad for the animals. Monkey island and Parrot island was a joke. One of the birds looked like a plucked chicken, I felt so bad. (See photo) There’s only about 5 zip lines, nothing special. The cave, cenote and Hyo Azul was nice but very crowded. I think this excursion is over priced for what it has to offer. If you have kids you can probably enjoy a full day but as adults the last 2 hours were spent walking around waiting to leave. I would not recommend this excursion, especially if you’re an animal lover. I left with disappointment and regret.

We visited Scape Park 26/12/2023.

Firstly - to use the lockers you have to purchase a padlock/key from them for 5$. So bring your own, they never advised us of this.

Secondly, we had zero information on pick up times, was told several different things and I assume it was language barrier as few spoke English.

BRING YOUR OWN FOOD - we ate in the restaurant, they were not busy but food took over 30 mins to come out and it was stone cold. My daughter had the chicken burger, I had chicken and cheese quesadillas (one tortilla with minimal chicken or cheese) and my partner had fish and chips which was just fish fingers. It cost $49 dollars with 3 sodas but it was not even luke warm. Several people were complaining about this but I was beyond hungry to complain as we were losing time in the park.

My biggest issue, was the animals. They advise you of times for monkeys and parrots - but these poor animals were poorly treated, monkeys are on leads and expected to perform for photos with many guests, it was cruel. Their 'monkey island' was equally pathetic. These poor creatures had a couple of trees and then surrounded by water with the island being a sheer few feet in diameter - the time we spent observing them was sad, watching them run to the edge of the island continuously looking distressed.
They have snakes in enclosures with a watering hole and NO WATER in them and then just some fake grass. That was it. Nothing to hide in, no bark etc. Considering the amount of money the park makes, I was shocked to see the animals abused with minimal efforts to adequately provide for them. I didn't dare go down to the ranch to see the condition down there. I understand this is the DR but there is zero chance of this being approved in England with animal welfare... The park should take more pride in the care of the animals, especially their well-being because the monkeys were very distressed. These animals are used as money making, there is very little care for their actual wellbeing!!

Majority of the staff are rude, you cannot attempt to exit the park without being heckled and shouted at to purchase photos, it was a horrible feeling. The most friendly staff we met were the ones helping with the zip lines, other than that - not welcoming and arrogant.

Take wet shoes, we spend the day in our wet shoes as the zip lines are all through water. If you want to do the hammock ride - get a life jacket from the beginning, it's a far walk to the entrance of the hammock rides to be told you need a life jacket from the hut!! We made this mistake.

The Scape Park was incredible. Lots of physical walking and stairs to climb for the great zip line, cave exploration, cave swim, blue pool, etc.
Be sure to get Viator to give you proper pick up times or the trip will start horribly!!!

I highly do not recommend this place for their customer service. I had experienced Scape Park a couple of years ago in a girls trip. I was excited to share this experience with my family. We booked through Expedia. What followed from that point has been nothing but stress.
After booking, we received a confirmation e-mail from expedia stating our reservation was accepted by Scape Park. We didn’t hear back either from Scape Park or Expedia. The night before, we went through to try to confirm a pick up time. We didn’t hear anything so we went and waited at group pick up at 7:00 am.
We heard back from them at 7:15 letting us know pick up would be at 7:40 and after received a message at 7:21 saying transport was full, but if someone missed the transport we could board. Otherwise we would have to book a taxi or Uber.
We waited for the transport, the guy had no idea, but said he had space and would call his boss to confirm our tickets. At that time the boss said “I already told them we were full”
The guy shrugged his shoulders and said sorry, you can grab a taxi, boss said we are full.
The response from Scape Park has been to blame Expedia.
For an Uber or taxi it costs an additional $60, which we are not interested in paying. All we want is a refund, that they are refusing to give.
The response from the supposed boss via message has been absolutely horrendous. Zero willingness to accommodate.
Go at your own risk and be prepared to be denied transport, even though they advertise it.
