A great full day excursion of the ancient archaeological site of Pompeii and the suggestive Amalfi Coast, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Travel on a private group with your attendant on hand in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan. Along the way stop for breakfast or snack.
Arrival at the Archaeological Site of Pompeii, you will visit the main areas of Pompeii, such as the Macellum (food market), the Thermal Baths, the areas where the Romans would gather to have dinner and wine as well as the homes of wealthy citizens, while learning about their customs and traditions. At the end continuation to the ancient fishing village of Positano, one of the most important tourist destinations on the Amalfi Coast.
Stop for lunch, relaxation and shopping.
Along the Amalfi Coast we will stop for a tasting and visit to a famous limoncello factory. At the end of this wonderful day return to the Eternal City. This truly emotional experience will remain with you for a lifetime.

1. Rome
Pickup and Drop Off at Hotel, Apartment, B&B. Our tour assistant will meet you in the hotel lobby or outside your accommodation
2. Pompeii Archaeological Park
Pompeii a "Unesco" heritage site is the first stop of the tour, here you will meet your local guide for the visit of the excavations. Hear from your guide the history and stories of what happened during the famous eruption of Vesuvius on August 24, 79 AD. It caused the destruction of the city of Pompeii and a vast area of the current Vesuvian area, such as the cities of Herculaneum. Your guide will help you discover some aspects of daily life in the Roman imperial era. Walking along the ancient streets, you will visit the most evocative places of the ancient city, such as the Forum, the Baths, La Casa dei Vetti, with its beautiful frescoes, and you will be able to admire the houses, shops and public buildings brought to light by the work of archaeologists.
3. Positano
The ancient fishing village of Positano, which has become one of the most elegant and iconic tourist destinations on the Amalfi Coast, stands in a wonderful and suggestive panoramic position along one of the stretches of the Amalfi Coast. Stop for lunch, relaxation and shopping.
4. Meta
Stop for a tasting and visit to a famous limoncello factory, here you can taste this famous liqueur and see how it is produced. At the end, return to Rome through the unforgettable scenery of the Amalfi Coast.
5. Amalfi Coast
Along the Amalfi coast, you will admire the most famous cities with their unique sceneries: the sea with its colors, the coast, the roads that surround the mountains are some of the wonders that you can admire. Your tour guide will provide you with useful information to visit the area and enjoy a free time in these places. A very emotional experience that will last a lifetime. During the summer season the Amalfi Coast is subject to some restrictions imposed to optimize circulation, this could cause some changes to the itinerary. In the winter season, Postano cannot be visited as all activities close. The dedicated stop for lunch, the visit and the limoncello test will take place in Amalfi or Maiori. Amalfi and Maiori are the most important centers of the Amalfi Coast.

We spent an amazing time in Pompei and in Positano. Wish it were a little bit lo ger specially in Positano, but it was totally worth it. Our spanish guide was really caring and namice to talk to.

Max and Dina were wonderful. Max was a very experienced and conscientious driver and Dina was very well informed of the sites on the way to and from the areas we visited. Paolo was our guide in Pompeii and was very knowledgeable and very friendly. I would highly recommend taking this private tour.

A private tour may cost more, but the experience was well worth, avoiding the masses, and providing a much more intimate and personalized experience.

Wonderful experience! We were picked up promptly at 6:30 at our accommodations in Rome and greeted by our wonderful guide, Juliana, and driver Roberto. We were driven 2 hrs to Pompeii where we enjoyed a fascinating tour with our tour guide Emmanuela. The timing was perfect, because it was cooler and less crowded. We then headed to Positano, a beautiful coastal town in Amalfi where Juliana guided us to a reservation at a beautiful restaurant on the beach. We dipped our toes in the water and did some shopping. Then, before leaving the town, we had a wonderful prearranged lemmoncello tasting. Truly wonderful day! Highly recommend.

The drive was comfortable and thanks to the driver the journey to and fro Positano was comfortable since all the family have motion sickness. There was no stop at a limoncello ‘factory’ and we were taken to one of the shops to taste some. The guide at Pompeii was great and answered all our questions.

Perfect day to end our trip. Private van with driver and tour guide Josh was an excellent way to see this area of Italy. We had a guide at Pomeii that was great at keeping us entertained. Then had a fabulous lunch in Amalfi with limoncello and gelato. Beautiful coast line drive.

It is absolutely unbelievable. This was a highlight of our 4 week Europe trip.
Our guide, Dina, was sensational.. her knowledge and experience of everywhere we travelled on the day was unbelievable and interesting. Our driver Luigi with very little English was also funny and friendly. But we knew what he was trying to say. Our visit to Pompeii, where we met the best ever archeoglist,Paelo, our tour guide, we were so lucky and humbled by him. He kept us so enthralled by this tour. This tour just got better as the day went on. Places we visited and what we experienced, including the lunch restaurant that was recommended to us by Dina and Luigi, were sensational, a true experience of Italy's cuisine. The whole day was filled with great company, exciting places, and history. We loved it thankyou Dina Luigi & Paolo, for such an unforgettable and magical day. This tour was the best of our Italy trip and we're coming back.

The whole day was the best day of our trip to Europe. Dina & Luigi were unbelievable. It was like we had known them forever. Dina's knowledge of everything was mind blowing, she had answered all our questions perfectly, and shared some fun facts with us as well. We had such a great time, and the trip from Rome was sensational never a boring moment. Dina's lunch recommendation was SENSATIONAL, we cannot fault the day at all. Even Paulo from Pompeii was great, we felt so humble to have had him as our tour guide. I cannot recommend this trio highly enough. I am still in awe. of how lucky we were to be able to spend this day with such beautiful people. THANKYOU SO MUCH - WE'RE COMING BACK TO SEE YOU ALL .

This was a great tour when we were in Rome for only a few days. Our tour guide, Dina, and our driver, Max, picked us up at our hotel at 6:30. Dina was very knowledgeable and,at the same time, thoughtful and gracious. Max was a fabulous driver! We made one stop on the way to Pompeii for a coffee and pastry. Then, on to Pompeii where we met Romulo, our guide for the Pompeii part of the tour. This lasted two hours and during that time we gained a greater understanding of the story of this “lost city”. Romulo was excellent - like having a storyteller so that we could imagine the city life before the eruption of Vesuvius. After a picturesque ride up the Amalfi Coast, we arrived in Amalfi. Lunch at La Maria was delicious and then we enjoyed 2 hours browsing the interesting shops and harbor views. Finally a little limoncello tasting before our trip back to Rome. We arrived back around 6:30PM. The entire day was filled with a good mix of activities and down time. We could not have been more pleased with this tour. Thanks to Dina, Max, and Romulo for this amazing experience!!

I can't give a high enough rating to this trip. I'd give it a 10 if I could. Dina was an amazing tour guide, and Mr. M. was a very cautious driver. Even in the rain, things went well. I'd highly recommend this trip, especially if you can book Dina. Pompeii was a great stop but was a little difficult for me since I'm 76 and not very sure footed. Wear shoes where you can go over the bolder type streets. This is the tour to take if you want Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast.
