The temple is amazing but there were a lot of confusions about out pick up time. And then we were a little late because we were dealing with a baggage claim from our previous flight, but we told our contact we were a little late, and when we got there, we had to wait 1 hour because the driver left and they kept telling lies about his whereabouts... when he finally showed up, there was not even the slightest apology... we were offered a compensation for this but the travel agency was never clear about it...

The logistics were excellent if you don’t want to get into the hassle of getting there and doing the line for the ticket and you’re also staying in Aswan then this is the tour for you! It’s perfect for covering with the logistics part as for the guide they’re ok, they give you a very short explanation but you can do research by yourself, our tour was in Spanish but they don’t speak the language very well so rather do an English tour for better understanding.

It was a great visit! A driver picked us up from the ferry from Elephantine and drove us to Abu Simbel. Our guide, Sami, was waiting there for us. The visit was awesome! Sami was very knowledgable and also showed us the best spots for pictures )and took some great ones). We had a lot of time to leasurely look at the temple and we never felt rushed. When we went back to Aswan, our driver offer to take us to an esence and a spice shop. All around, it was a perfect day.

Mr. Aladino Nahas was the tour guide for the Aswan portion of our 11 days private tour trip to Egypt. Aladino is a very pleasant person and well trained in ancient Egyptian history and culture. He did a good job working with us for the 2 days tour around Aswan, including Abu Simbel Temples, Philae Temple and Nubian village.

I applied for a self-guided tour to Abu Simbel, but the driver recommended another tour, so I joined it. After a 6-7 hour round trip ride, it was quite tough to go to Nubian Village and Philae Temple Illumination.
