Private tour to visit in detail the principal sites of interest located in the old city of Cartagena. This excellent experience begins by visiting the main monuments of the city like the La Popa's Hill. The highest point of the city where there is a convent dating the beginning of the XVII Century. after we visit San Felipe de Barajas Fortress which is considered the most important military fortification in South America. Then the tour heads to the walled city and the bohemian neighborhood Getsemaní. first a stop for shopping in the last build fortification named "Las Bovedas" , after we take a walking tour, visiting the different squares of the city (St Domingo Square, Bolivar Square, Los Coches Square, Aduana Square, Clock Tower, St Pedro Square) and admiring the old colonial houses filled with history and legend. At the end we take a tour by the modern part of Cartagena (Bocagrande, Laguito and Castillogrande).

Nico was a fantastic guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable and fielded all of our questions. He even helped us haggle for a few things from the local vendors! We felt like we were in very good hands.

Else our guide from Sion (through (Viator) , we did Fort Felipe, the Monastery (wow- best view in Cartagena) and the walled city- could not have had a better day. Watching buses of tourists struggle around I was able to seriously enjoy my day with my wife and our guide and driver! It was exceptional and an amazing time - highly recommend this trip, tour company and guide, the whole day was exceptional. .

The tour guide never showed up, 45 minutes after the confirmed time of the start of the tour I received a message saying they had to cancel. Always book through the hotel concierge!

I came with my cousins for a birthday and absolutely loved it! Nicomedes was very very nice and kind. He is very knowledgeable about the city and answered every question we had. I felt very safe in his care.

The tour with Nico was a trip highlight. He was able to strike the right balance of recounting Cartagena’s history in an engaging, informative yet fun way. Would recommend highly as a way to familiarize yourself with the city and hit the highlights for further exploration.

4 hour tour was only 2 1/2. Never made it to the Bocogrande neighborhood, which we hoped to see. The guide was pleasant but had limited English skills.

Incredible! The guide met us within the cruise port and we traveled from site to site with our driver and guide in a wonderfully air conditioned car. Our guide provided a very comprehensive tour with the history of the city as well as an overview of Columbia.

We had such a great time with our tour guide John, we learned a lot from him about the city and he took us to some really beautiful places. It was a great overview of the city and we would highly recommend this tour! Taking the cable car up to the top of the mountain was probably my favorite part!
