Heather and Antonio were great! Heather had tons of inside info about Rome as well as other parts of Italy and was more than willing to share all of her tips and recommendations. Antonio was a very safe driver with great patience for the terrible holiday traffic that we encountered. This was such a great tour... we weren't prepared for the sheer scale of Pompeii and it was mind-blowing to see how well certain parts of the excavation were preserved. The local tour guide was knowledgeable and we felt that we received adequate time for the site. Heather also connected us to a great lunch deal, which was a pizza and drink for 12 euros. We also bought of piece of the cake that was offered, and it was absolutely worth the cost! I still think about that cake! It was convenient to pick up lunch and eat on the bus while we went to the next thing. Heather communicated well throughout the tour which was especially important because we experienced several significant delays associated with holiday traffic. We did not end up going to the Amalfi Coast due to the delays, but Heather coordinated a great replacement stop in Sorrento which we greatly enjoyed. All things considered, the delays could have made the day a bit difficult, but Heather kept the stress at bay and ensured we had a great time!

Our guide Viviana was very knowledgeable and this tour was the best that we had during our stay in Italy. I really appreciate the fact that the tour began on time in Rome and we got ample time in Pompeii and Positano. Coupled with a beautiful sunny day and a delightful drive, both me and my husband were very happy.

Our guide Rob was outstanding. He was kind, attentive, thoughtful, knowledgeable and humorous. His depth of knowledge certainly added to the experience. I would book other tours that he leads. The best guide we have had!

Our guide at Pompei was also excellent. Took time to answer many questions. Very kind, patient and knowledgeable.

Very well organized tour, left on time and kept a large group on schedule for the day. Viviana was a perfect tour guide and Emilo managed the terrifying Amalfi roads with ease. Highly recommended!
Great time of year to visit Pompeii - no crowds! Positano also crowd free but sadly few restaurants or shops open out of season.
Tips for families - pack snacks! You’ll get a short break for lunch at Pompeii with pizzas ordered from the bus (great idea!) or wait until Positano for very over priced food in very limited restaurants.

Claudia, our tour guide, was amazing!!! We had a great time, saw amazing history and beautiful scenery. Our bus driver, Gioni (sp?) was very good - dealing with crazy traffic and fitting that bus through tiny streets, still not sure how he did it!
I would highly recommend this tour - it is a LONG day, but if you have little ones they can sleep on the bus ride down and back home. If you have mobility issues this tour might be a bit of a struggle.

Mario was our guide and I cannot say enough how great he was. You stop about 90 min into the drive to have breakfast and use the facilities. Then off to pompei. Prepare for walking. But if you’re into Greek/Roman mythology and history this is a great stop. And to see mount Vesuvius was also cool. Then off to positano. Stopped along the road to sorrento for a pic. It was Christmas Eve in positano so not a lot was open but was a good walk through the costal town

As we visited in December we had the Pompeii with Postiano option.

Claudia was our tour guide and she looked after us so well during the day. She is very chatty and funny, and kept her spirits up right until 9pm even though we had been driving since 4pm (Naples traffic is another level!!). Our driver was Rommel (not sure if that’s how it’s spelt) and he was just amazing to drive us in the dark through the traffic of Naples.

It was easy to find the tour guide meeting point at the beginning of the day with their instructions. It’s an early start but worth it to get to Pompeii around 10am before the sun is too hot.

Pompeii was brilliant. Elena was a fantastic local guide - her English was excellent and she was so knowledgable but also really engaging. She brought everything to life. The tour takes 2 hours and December is the perfect time to go as the weather isn’t too hot and it isn’t too crowded especially on a bank holiday Monday! Everyone commented we had such a good experience as it was so quiet. You don’t get time to stop at the gift shop - I personally don’t care about this but worth noting.

Claudia took our orders for pizza to have after the Pompeii tour ($15 for a pizza, drink and pastry). Whilst this pizza isn’t the best we literally had 15 minutes to buy and eat food before we had to be back on the coach so I strongly advise you buy the pizza as I honestly didn’t see anywhere else to get lunch, especially not that quick.

Postiano is beautiful to look at though is a bizarre place in that it’s basically on the side of a mountain. We had to switch from our coach to some shuttle buses. As it was a bank holiday Monday some shops weren’t open but we went down to the beach and had a drink there. It was a little expensive but nice to sit down and enjoy the beach. It’s incredibly hilly so be aware of this if your fitness isn’t the best.

We also stopped at a Limoncello show room. This was such a lovely place and whilst it was a little expensive we got some brilliant gifts to take back home - something I haven’t found elsewhere as a lot of other stuff is sort of tourist tat.

I personally don’t necessarily think the Postiano part is a be all and all to include, especially as you get back so late having been there. But I can see why many people would love it and it is beautiful to see. The drive is just very long (at least 3 hours each way). Both times you will stop somewhere with plenty of free toilets that also sells food and drink. The staff there are lovely, it’s a little expensive but unless you came really prepared with food and drink you’ll probably need to pick something up.

Mario was the bus tour guide and he was great! Very informative about the tour and some history about Rome. This tour stops a couple times to visit a shop and to take pictures, but due to the bad rain we couldn't stay too long for the pictures. At Pompeii, the guide there was Luigi, but I really cannot remember if that is correct or not. But he was amazing! Very funny, patient and ensured we were all staying together. I was sad the tour was only 2 hours as Pompeii is a big place to explore and see, but it was still worth it to me.

This tour was AWFUL! Don’t waste your time booking it. First of all, our guide Enrica was the rudest and meanest person I have ever met; she was very disrespectful and racist towards me and my mom, when we said we were from Brazil, she started laughing and say that we should perform a ‘samba’ to the whole bus, which was a very inappropriate way to refer to our country. Also, she would scream at us and other people, literally SCREAM when we were not in a perfect line or when someone stood up in the bus to grab something, in minor situations she would scream and make us feel uncomfortable. She also spoke about religion and politics, very off topic. Second, you get very little time at Pompei and Positano, the tour at Pompei was pretty boring, the guide didn’t explain it well and gave us zero time for pictures and questions. Positano is ok, but I would recommend doing this trip in a separate way, to enjoy more both places. But I do have to make a good comment about our driver Elio, he was very good in the route and drove us very safely.
