Some rides were not operational - many kiosks were not open. Slushies were not ready after 2 hours of the park opening and soft serve ice cream was also not ready. Eating area didn't not have hot drinks even though it was on the menu - extremely disappointed - not worth the money

Very good rides and being mainly indoor was very good as it was 42C outside but being in air conditioning.

Spent a nice day at Motiongate in December break. Considering the schools were out for break it wasn't busy at all; early in the day everything was a walk on, and at most a 20 minute wait in the evening. Its obviously not Disney World but we found plenty of fun rides to amuse ourselves for a full day.
Riverland, on the other hand is very sad. Its a very pretty design so you can see all the potential, but most of the restaurants were shut except McDonalds, and the "Christmas market" was just a few half stocked stalls. The far out of the city location probably doesn't help with the lack of people around.

Informed on arrival that the John Wick ride was down for the day for maintenance, other than that, the rides are decent but underwhelming, coasters length, both the Bullet train and the High Roller are a bit short compared what you find in other countries, which is a shame, but nothing can be done about it.
The Blast Off on the other hand, is also a short ride, but here there is no reason for it to be as lame as it is, it's just bad practice, the ride goes up all the way once, goes down once, and then up to the middle and bounces down to a stop.
Also, no good reason for the only bus stop to be on the furthest place possible from the main entrance to the parks, at the very edge of the parking lots.

Very slow services, last time I booked I was very disappointed, thought everything would be perfect but everything in the room was not working and they didn’t solve the issues!

We had a great time at Motiongate, not very busy so had the place and some rides to ourselves. A couple of rides not open and different opening hours than stated during the month of April.

The tickets worked seamlessly. The park is a little tired - portions of the Transylvania ride we’re obviously not working - not safety issues just portions that should have been moving. Ghostbusters shooting ride did not work well either. It’s no Disney but the Dreamworks section alone is worth the price of admission. Be prepared for others to cut in line - children and adults. Also, we took a cab to/from the River area and it worked easily for us.

We had free tickets as part of our Emirates holiday booking. After researching all of the parks we felt like motiongate was the best fit for us, the rest being too young/not our bag.
We had a lovely family experience at Motiongate, it was very quiet so no queues bar the water ride (Cloudy with a chance of meatballs).
The food at the Smurf area wasn’t up to much but it was cheap filler before moving on.
The Madagascar ride was really fast, sit back or you will whack your head. I’d suggest the park was aimed more toward younger children, but there are four or five rollercoasters that maybe adults would want to have a go on.
As a motion sensitive person I had no interest in making myself feel sick!! So can’t comment on John Wick, now you see me or the Capitol bullet train.
It’s a long way out from Deira/Bur Dubai took 50m in a DTC taxi.
Maybe 3-4 hours total to hit what you want.
