What a fun day. Tour guides (Berta) did a great job with plenty of interesting info. They were also fun and very friendly. The bus was beautiful. The ride to and from Montserrat was very scenic once we were out of Barcelona. The ride to the castle winery was also very pleasant. The tapas were fine and they gave us 3 glasses of wine and a lot of detail about each of them. You could also buy more wine but there wasn’t a lot of time left. We were all seated at a long table for tapas which was fun. The castle winery was in a beautiful setting with views of Montserrat and lots of interesting history. Would recommend for a fun excursion.

Anays was the best tour guide! We had our 3 year old with us and he had the best time too. He even got to do some grape juice tasting with us. This trip is great for couples or families don’t hesitate to book 100% worth it.
We got to do the funicular, see the beginning of mass, and watch the boy’s choir. There is so much to do in Montserrat we will definitely return again on our next trip to Barcelona.

First, the guides were outstanding and we tipped them well for their knowledge, their wit, and good-natured personalities. Our issue is with Viator’s upper management’s choices in organizing this excursion. Monserrat deserves your time… preferably a full day…but at least be true to A HALF DAY ENTIRELY AT MONSERRAT. We were there at best on hour and a half before being herded on buses again 😱. I was angry and disappointed but maintained my composure because of our guides and other participants. We traveled more time on the bus to visit the winery and partake of gourmet tapas at another location separate from Monserrat grounds. This was a great experience, but it came at the expense of not truly experiencing Montserrat . At least 3 hours is required to appreciate the grounds/hikes, the sanctuary itself, the museum, and the vendors who sell exquisite artisan cheeses and other wares on the Montserrat grounds. We thought we had signed on for a 1/2 day with the option to be more on our own to explore it… A very cursory/obligatory visit vs a tour. While the visit to the winery was well done, It deserves its own excursion separate from Montserrat. We expected a 3 -4 hour half day at the monastery, given how long it took to travel on a bus to get there. We felt cheated. Viator should be true to its word about it being a half day excursion. We regretted doing this tour and cannot recommend it AS IT IS CURRENTLY ORGANIZED.

An amazing tour as a whole! Our tour guide Lorena was very knowledgeable and friendly on the area and even the wines we tried. I will definitely be recommending this for anyone who dreams of coming to Barcelona in the near future for the feel of Catalonia!

Our Tour guide Guille is nice and very helpful. She gave us a lot of recommendations on what to do during our free time and we decided to try the cheese with honey on top and bought some wide varieties of cheese. We enjoyed the trip. It was a very nice experience.

Bel was such an amazing guide. She was funny and she knows her history well. She explained each site very nicely and my family and i live the whole experience. I would surely recommend her for this tour.

Highly recommend this tour. Montserrat was amazing. The basilica was impressing. The winery was stunning. All the guides were fantastic, especially Guille, who was amazing!!!

The basilica was impressive. The walk to the cross was challenging for a couple of "middle aged" folks., but we made it! The winery was a blast. All the guides were great, especially Guille!!

Tour was great. Yerai (tour guide) was knowledgeable and funny. Tour bus was comfortable. Wine and food was good. I would recommend.
