Milford Sound Tour by Plane from Queenstown including Cruise

Flying through and over the mountains is a breath-taking experience. This has to be the best way to see so much in a short time. Our pilot, Henry, was skilled and friendly. He gives a helpful commentary on the geographic features. I definitely recommend True South.

The trip of a lifetime. The pilot was amazing! Very smooth landing and take off, both times. Staff were lovely and knowledgeable!! Highly recommend this experience!!

We had a wonderful flight to the Milford Sound. We were picked up at our hotel by one of the pilots and brought to the airport. Our pilot was professional and gave us information throughout the flight. The cruise was wonderful. The Milford Sound is beautiful. The flight back was a great experience. We had the same pilot on the return flight. It was a little turbulent, but I felt confident in the pilot's ability.

Breathtaking flight from Queenstown to Milford sound. Pilot was personable, pointed out interesting sites along both legs and took different route on the way home so we could see even more sights. Truly memorable experience. Check in was a breeze. Flight was safe and comfortable-totally worth every penny. The Milford “cruise” itself was underwhelming but fine. I think this was just because we had already flown over the sound and that was so spectacular the cruise sort of paled in comparison. Bring snacks with if you have kids for the cruise, limited options and long lines. Thank you true south flights for the wonderful experience. Highlight of our trip for sure!

Spectacular views and stunning weather! We had the most amazing day. Thank you Tahe the pilot for a great experience with his awesome smooth ride and slight extension of the flight to show us the most amazing mountain peaks. Will never forget it!

The flight service out to Milford was amazing. Our pilot Jason was super friendly and took us on two different sight seeing routes both out and back. The boat cruise along the sound was unreal-New Zealand’s answer to Jurassic park! I’m very glad we flew instead of driving the 8 hours round trip from Queenstown.

Milford sound is absolutely one of the wonders of this planet

I would recommend anyone a fly-cruise-fly trip to Milford sound. Not only you can save 4 hours drive to milford and 4 hours back (that's over $150NZ for petrol) but you also get a stunning view of Milford Sound from above. And it's even better than the view from the cruise.

Our pilot Jason was super friendly and helpful. He was also a very good narrator and made our flight to Milford was so special. The take off and landing were so smooth as silk!

The flight seated 13 and of course everyone has a window seat! 

Tips: You may bring some light meal with you since there's limited choices on the boat. I havn't brought because I wan't sure if I could bring it or not and I was so regret I didn't know this before.
