Wow! This was a dream come true. Seeing something that you have heard about and seen pictures of since childhood is a complete thrill. We had a great guide who knew a lot about The Last Supper. We visited the church first, and then we had 15 minutes with this precious work of art. I am so thankful that there was a recent restoration, so the coloring is much better than even 30 years ago. I had no idea how huge the painting is. It spans one large wall of what used to be a dining area. We also learned that daVinci used tempera paints, and thereby made is less durable. Security around the exhibit is quite tight. Doors open and close to let you into to certain areas as you reach the painting. Truly amazing.

We came to Milan for two reasons, one, see the Last Supper and two visit Milan’s Duomo.

To get tickets to see the last Supper you need to get to website as soon as the next 90 day window opens up….I woke up in my time zone and tickets were already gone.

It seems the tour operators must get some jump on tickets.

So, we did the skip the line tickets and also did the hand on workshop, which actually turned out to be pretty cool.

For context I am an Sr, traveler and DaVinci’s last supper was a bucket list item.

By now you know you get 15 minutes in the room with the painting, on the plus side of this the group size was just right.

The more you have seen in your life the more of impact the Last Supper will have on you, for me it was emotionally fulfilling. The size was surprising and the detail was above what I was expecting.

Go!

We took the Last Supper Skip the Line tour, only to find that there are dozens of Skip the Line tours ahead of us. It was difficult getting close to the painting due to all the people. The artwork is grand, but due to decades of weathering and age, it is very faded and difficult to photo.

There was little to do beyond just viewing this famous work for a few minutes before being ushered out of the rectory. As it turned out, we had originally scheduled this tour of AM but aviator unilaterally rescheduled for late afternoon of the same day, which we could not make. All in all, a disgraceful performance by aviator.

DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS COMPANY - THE TOUR GUY. Arrived an hour early, never found the guide, contacted company where I was informed we were checked in on a later tour and did attend. Never happened! Contacted company who told me they never gave refunds due to late arrivals, but apparently someone was checked in using our names at a later time than we reserved. No identification is required - just show up and give a name and guide looks at list on phone, person points to random name and BINGO you’re checked in on the tour! WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!! My experience cost me $100.

I did not make the tour. I did not accept the morning tour. I didn’t see that it had changed until it was too late to cancel. I received the email at 21:30 on Monday night, the 9th & immediately replied that I could NOT make the morning as I wasn’t in Milan until noon. Then I received an email at 16:00 that I could go on my own until 18:30. At that time we were back in our hotel and couldn’t make it at that time either. I saw the email that the ticket had been charged but didn’t notice another email that the time had changed or I would have canceled immediately. I am not happy that the time changed so drastically. For such a drastic change a text would have been better to notify me. I doubt I will use Viator again for any of my arrangements.

Seeing The Last Supper in person was awesome. The guide was very good, offering a wealth of information about details of the painting, such as what DaVinci was trying to convey about the body language of each of the disciples.

Knowing The Last Supper tickets sell out weeks or months in advance, I booked this tour through Viator with this tour operator 5 months in advance for Oct 1, 2023. We confirmed the reservation twice, was notified by Viator 3 days in advance, and my credit card charged 48 hours in advance. Then less than 24 hours before we were supposed to meet our "guide" I got an email from the tour operator that the Last Supper was "overbooked" and he wanted to switch our tour to Oct 4th. We were only in Milan to visit the Duomo and to see the Last Supper, and were leaving on the 3rd. When I booked this tour, with this tour operator, they had decent customer reviews, however, now I have read many, many reviews where they have left customers high and dry cancelling at the last minute. How can you possibly sell tickets to a museum that you don't have? I would recommend you stay as far away from this tour operator as you can. I don't understand why or how Viator keeps this company as an approved vendor. It gives me pause to book with Viator ever again.

Nothing memorable.
Our first flight was delayed so we missed our flight to Milan.
Had to come in that evening so missed the tour.
Tour operator said they couldn't refund our money.
So no good review.
