Aurora was our AWESOME personal walking tour guide in Dublin! She was fun, easy to talk to,. It was just me and my wife (in our 60's), so we talked via email in advance on where all we wanted to go in our 3-4 hour window. We told her where we were staying, and she offered a very convenient meeting place.
Aurora is knowledgeable of the area and has lived in Dublin for many years - although not born in Ireland. She gladly spent extra time - going deeper with answers and history whenever we asked questions about certain places. She even took great pictures of us. Her pace was fast when needed between stops, but talked openly along the way. She was constantly in tune with us and always asked it we were okay, or if we needed to sit and rest our backs. This could important for some people.
City Unscripted through Trip Advisor made it easy to book the trip we wanted. They will assign you a guide that fits your profile based on answered questions in advance. You will have plenty of time to check out and even change that guide if wanted.
I would highly recommend both Aurora and City Unscripted.
NOTE:
We were in Ireland for 7 nights but only had 2 nights in Dublin. We wanted to see as much of the inner-city as possible. EAT DINNER at The Church!!

Anne was an amazing tour guide! We saw all of Dublin’s downtown sites and it honestly felt like we were strolling around Ireland with a lifelong friend!!

The tour was amazing! The guide was very knowledgeable about the city and I took wonderful pictures! Learning about Ireland in this tour was wonderful.

Our guide, Adrian, would go long periods without saying anything. We never seemed to know where we were going or did not learn that much about the places we were taken to. He took us to Trinity College and basically just told us that it was Trinity College but not much else.

I was quite disappointed with our tour. It was very difficult to hear the information that was given and I felt for a specific tour that was curated for my husband and I through detailed questions and correspondence it was very generic in places seen and information given. We took a completely different tour (a food tour) the following day and visited many of that same places and received so much more information and antidotes. Of all the tours we experienced in Dublin this would not be one I would recommend.

Conor toured me around central Dublin in three hours on Saturday afternoon. He showed me all the important historical and artistic highlights this part of the city has to offer. Conor was knowledgeable, warm, and efficient, making the most of my time on this walking tour. I highly recommend Conor!

Dave was incredible! I can't say enough about how much fun my husband and I had on our Dublin tour. Dave was so friendly and knowledgeable. It felt like an old friend was showing us all around his city.
The tour was catered to what we wanted to see, and Dave added lots of little touches that made it feel top-notch.

Our tour guide, Eoghan,shared just the right mix of historical knowledge, insights into life & culture in Dublin today, interesting stories from Irish history & his love of Dublin. He was s great tour guife & a wonderful host for his home city.

Domenick was a fantastic guide who has a lot of information about Dublin, both the history and the new Dublin. we were taken to famous tourist spots and hidden places that are not so well known. had a wonderful time with pio and can really recommend him to others
