The best part of this tour was the tour guide and how Nick brought the historical aspect and the beauty of the city together for us. It was such a pleasurable day getting dropped off at the entrance to each site having it clearly explained letting us see the site at our pace and then having him be at the exit when we were done. For lunch he took us to a fantastic authentic Greek restaurant that was a real treat.

Michael was very knowledgeable and shared meaningful stories and anecdotes for the visited locations as we travelled from stop to stop. Michael's passion for Athens, his city, was evident and made us excited to experience it all! His personal touch made our trip to Athens one we will never forget!

Our driver, Dimitri, was great. He arrived early, had plenty of water on hand, and was very knowledgeable. We traveled with elderly people and he was very patient with us and adapted our schedule as needed. Our guide, Helen, was knowledgeable also, but moved a little too quickly.

We had an amazing, full day in Athens seeing all the sites courtesy of our tour guide, Alex (via Elegant Greek Tours). Alex did a great job of timing the hot spots to avoid the crowds as much as possible, and the team was in touch with us well ahead of the tour to have us pre-book tickets at the Acropolis and museum to avoid the long lines. Alex picked us up in a beautiful, super clean private van right at the port, and we began our day strolling the Ancient Agora and seeing the Temple of Hephaestus. We then went to the Acropolis, skipped the line and walked up to view the stunning Parthenon, Erechtheion, Temple of Nike and Theatre of Dionysus. It's definitely an extremely crowded tourist spot, but Alex did a great job getting us there at a good time to avoid the larger bus groups. Afterwards, Alex drove us by several other highlights including the Panathenaic Stadium (site of the first modern Olympics in 1896), Olympieion (including the HUGE Temple of Zeus), the three temples of wisdom and then an unexpected stop to witness the changing of the guard where the movements of the guards are done to mimic those of horses. We then stopped at a local restaurant for lunch where we sampled as much authentic Athenian food as our stomachs could handle! Lastly, we wrapped up the day touring the Acropolis Museum which included a very educational video about the Acropolis, several of the original pieces and sculptures from the site and even a really cool lego replica of the entire Acropolis. We were so extremely pleased with the tour and glad we were able to visit so many sites in a single day / cruise stop. Highly recommend!

Mary, our guide, took us to wonderful places…. i think we were lucky to see hidden gems! We had the best spot to watch the sunset (away from the crowd). We had the best gelato (home made). And lovely photos! She knew the spots and angles!

The tour guide George gave us an excellent coverage of Athens within the stipulated time. He covered most of the attractions in Athens and utilized the time at maximum capacity beyond our expectations. He gave his best to show us around the city. His hospitality was really appreciable. This can not be expected in a European country.
