Owfi was a great guide throughout the trip. He is knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. I enjoyed that the explanations were to the point and he gave ample free time. He was flexible with time and worked with the group. Even on the water day he spent time hanging out. Would recommend the trip.

Where to start…
Coordinator Miss Bassant handled everything start to finish. I was worried but she handled all logistics .
Tour guide Rocky was excellent . 15 year’s experience.
Ship “ Magic lady Carol “ was by far the nicest one I saw . Had all amenities. Small cruise ship.
Highly suggest an extra 1-2 days in Luxor after cruise and book Rocky for day trips to Valley of the queens, Alexandria, and others he recommends .
Tip tip tip. It’s expected and appreciated. 50 E-pounds goes a long way to smooth service everywhere .
Highly recommended this tour/ cruise .
One caution - 6 days is a red herring.
Day 1 and 6 are arrive/ depart .
Night 1 and 5 are sleeper trains.
You get 4 proper tour days and 3 nights on the boat.
Recommend flying Cairo Aswan to start your tour and skip the first sleeper train. Bassant will coordinate .

We were very well taken care of since the moment we were picked up from our hotel to the train station till the last day when the driver brought us back. Felt very safe. The guide Mohamed Shakour was amazing, with the great knowledge of Egyptian history and very kind personal approach to the needs of every member of our small group. I forgot my hat on the train and he made sure it was found and returned to me. Lots of thanks! The whole trip was organized very well, very thoughtful program; good food at the restaurant and very friendly attentive staff. It is definitely a must to do while in Egypt!

I highly recommend this trip. Sabry our guide was amazing. He showed us all the jewels of the Nile with amazing insights of modern and contemporary history of Egypt as well as great knowledge of ancient Egypt. Two thumbs up. The cruise in itself was pretty good, service was top notch, the food was excellent and varied. I am sure I'll do it again ?

Very pleasant stay, Owf was a great guide, lots of fun to be with.

The cruise has some difficulty managing food allergies, that was a bit unfortunate.

The ship was wonderful...I had an upper room with a 7 meter view. Food was really good and salads fabulous. Our guide Mohammad was kind, & very informative. The company took excellent care of me making sure I was picked up from my lodging and personally placed me on the train with assistance of a police officer...I felt very safe traveling as a solo older woman.
Heart felt Thanks ??? to the whole crew. Saw everything.

The places we visited on the Nile Tour made this a 5-Star adventure, as well as the helpful assistance given to us by Mona at Viator to make our trip unforgettable. Highlights included:
- The incredible dawn balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings
- The awesome size and majesty of the Temples of Luxor and Karnak
- Venturing into the burial caves of Pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings
- The wild and crazy early morn carriage ride to and from Edfu.
- Exploring the Temple of Hatsheput.
- The exciting tales of important Egyptian Kings and Queens of the past told by out tour guides, in particular “Rocky”, which made the places we visited come alive.
- Meals on the riverboat and the courtesy shown by all the boat staff.

TOUR TIPS – The items below are important to know. None of what I mention here would prevent me from recommending visiting these ancient sites, but having this information ahead of time might make your trip less stressful and a little more enjoyable
- Have Egyptian Cash on You - Unlike all other Viator tours I have been on, there are many events/locations where YOU have to buy your admission ticket at the site/location. There are NOT included in the tour price. Egyptians prefer payment in CASH, and not all of the sites accept credit cards, so it is best to have Egyptian pounds on you.
- Be Prepared to TIP Everyone – We learned Egypt is the land of the underground economy (they have no income tax). The Egyptians are very courteous; however, they have a tradition that EVERY courtesy should be responded to with a tip of some amount (and I mean every courtesy). If you do no give one, they will ask (and in some cases demand) it of you. So, have lots of Egyptian pounds on you ranging from 30 to 150 pounds ($1 - $5). If you do not want to tip, do not take anything from anyone and do not let anyone do for you what you can do for yourself (carrying or lifting a bag, opening a door, etc.)
- Train or Plane? – If you enjoy basic rustic early 19th century living, the train is for you. There is no such thing a First Class on the train – only one class., and I really don’t have a number for it. Let’s just call the accommodations extremely basic. Bring along your Boy and Girl Scout training guide, or better yet, save two night of rumble and tumble and take a one-hour plane ride.
- Not a Princess Cruise – The boat ride is great fun, but not luxurious by any means. Expect small rooms, non-working refrigerators, little to no Wi-Fi (even the best offered works only occasionally and even then cuts on and off.) If you want WiFi, bring your own personal hotspot. The food is very good and the staff is magnificent – AND there is no tipping on board (WooHoo!!).
- Wake up Call! – Most of these tours start EARLY so be prepared to be ready to go at 5am each morning. Up and Adam, mate!!
- Beware the Sellers – As you walk on your tours you will be constantly harangued by people trying to get you to buy something. They are very, very, very persistent. The best thing to do is a say nothing, make no eye contact, and keep walking. Even saying “No Thank you” engages the Seller and leads to continued “engagement”
- BIG PICTURE – You are in Egypt – go with the flow, enjoy the experience, and remember how lucky you are to be there!!

Bring elderly although we are seasoned travelers can be a bit intimating. I commend the tour operators for getting us from the airport to the hotel and the train and then the ship as well as taking us on a few tours. I would recommend all of the men who assisted us in having a great time with no worries
.there are too many to name but if you book with them, you will not be sorry.
